They accepted the job then had to reschedule for the next day...

They were on time the second day however they were very rough with my belongings. I also felt very rushed. They kept asking me "what else" in a very impatient manner , and I would rather have paid them overtime rather than be so rushed.

On the plus side though,I had about half an hour left of my two hour time, and they unrolled my carpets for me and help me place them under there under my furniture so overall I would give them a positive review.

These guys are great. They took my call last minute on the same day of service after another service was a no show. Did a great job and I would definitely recommend them. Thanks.

They were on time. They were prepared for the job. They worked hard. They were respectful of the furniture & goods HOWEVER they were small & our pieces of bedroom furniture were not only large, but heavy. And it proved to be too much for them. They broke a piece of supportive wood under the tall chest of drawers because it was to heavy to lift. Instead they dragged it on the Berber carpet & it snapped off. They didn't wait long enough for us to move the dresser or the chest to a different wall & my brother & I had to do this with the help of the facility custodian. I would use them again if they guarantee to send stronger workers. But the two young men were adorable & I only felt sorry the job was too much for them.

The worst move we have ever experienced and we have had several moves to compare this one too. Our previous moves the men were quick, careful, respectful, which we did not experience with this move at all.

We scheduled Dallas Metro Movers to arrive 11:00 am with a 3-hour move and 2 men. Plenty of time to pack the POD before the 5:30 pick up. It all started off poorly when they showed up 2.5 hours late @ 2:30 pm.

It was Myself, my wife, and my mother who were at the apartment and we had everything completely ready to go. All boxes packed, taped, and stacked ready for the move. The plan was for myself and my family to not lift a single item.

We also ordered shrink wrap from Dallas Metro Movers to wrap the large nice furniture that is extremely valuable to us. Again the plan was for the movers to wrap the big furniture and put that in first then load the boxes and small items around the big furniture.

When the movers showed up late, they also forgot the shrink wrap and had to leave to go get it which took another 30 min. roughly. When the movers got upstairs, I explained to them that we want the large stuff first then the boxes. I also explained immediately that there were boxes very clearly marked Fragile, Very Fragile, and one that said do not stack anything on this box.

The very first thing they did was grab the fragile boxes and stacked them on top of the box marked, "Very Fragile, do not stack on this box" and took them out. We had to tell them again and again until finally, they put those boxes back to save for last and start with large un-fragile boxes since the shrink wrap had yet to arrive to wrap the large furniture. This was an extreme time waster.

For the rest of the move, the movers were extremely slow and they complained the entire time. It took them forever to wrap the furniture, and we have seen other movers wrap items in half the time and move boxes at a steady pace. Our movers walked very slow and casually and complained the whole time that they were tired from their previous move that morning. Every time we mentioned anything to them, they would stop and lean against the box and start talking and wasting more time. We told them the POD would be there by 5:00 and we couldn't be slow. They mentioned if we needed more time we could pay them cash and it was obvious they were trying to add hours to their move.

I ended up jumping in and helping because I could see that they could not handle this in a timely manner and also being careless with our stuff. I had to carry a king size mattress with one guy while the other guy was hanging out at the POD casually packing the boxes. I explained how important our nice bed and table were and at one point the one mover leaned the bed frame against the mattress and start talking to the other guy and the bedframe started to tip over and my wife luckily was there to catch it and lean it back.

The problems really escalated when 1 of our elevators broke while moving. Luckily we had already got all the big furniture and the majority of the boxes. The issue was that we were running out of time at this point for the POD arrival, and the POD people do not wait after 5:30. The elevator broke roughly around 4-4:30. We were forced to use the only other elevator available at the other end of the complex, slowing down our move even further.

When this happened my family started getting really nervous and tried to ask the movers to help us go faster, but they kept the same slow pace, with no care about time. My wife and Mother and I jumped into high gear and did a lot of really heavy lifting. My wife and I had to use the stairs at times and even when we used the other elevator we would be down to the POD and back twice as fast as the mover who had the dolly.

Karl, the mover with the dolly even told my wife that she was taking advantage of him and not giving them time to drink water, when we had a stack of water on the counter in the apartment that I offered, as well as the fact that my wife is running circles around him carrying items while he with a dolly was going slower than her.

We ended up extending them for another hour only because we had no choice and they tried really hard to get us paying in cash. I used the app to pay through hired helper and it was obvious that they did not like that. Once 5:30 hit we still had a few more trips to make and my Dad arrived from work with his own dolly, so we told the movers we would not pay them for another hour and their time was done.

At that point, they asked me to give them a tip. They said we work for tips and I said this was a nightmare. So they walked off to get picked up by their boss. The biggest concern is the physical labor my family had to endure the potential injury risk and the complete lack of concern from movers.

The crew was supposed to show at 9 but we agreed to a later time due to their previous job running long. So I went to meet them at the new time of 11. I was very clear with them the truck I was using had to be back at 3. Multiple calls and delays later they show up at 1. They had brought a 3rd guy which in all honesty didn't make up for the lack of effort and care. Boxes were dropped and treated badly. Called a different mover to finish the job the next day and had much better service. I will not be calling DMM again.

I was expecting a better service from the helper.

They were okay. Firstly I had clearly indicated we have less stuff and hence 2 people are sufficient. Then in the morning 3 people are walking in the morning to do the move, which was a surprise as only a lady at the house.

it was raining since our house is carpeted I had asked them to remove the shoe and wear a cover to get the items from 2nd Level and whole house is carpeted it will get spoiled. They said they cannot remove and if you want we can come back later, without shoe we cannot move. that was very strange.
3rd - I had told them do not stack box one over the other, once my wife come out and check, they had stacked all boxes one over the other. When I requested to change it, they said they cannot remove again it cost additional time.

Finally the worst, while moving the chair, they spoiled the front door with many scratches. In spite of it packed in neat. If it was not packed, they would have broken some portion of the door.

In summary they are not seasoned and courteous moving team.

Mover's response:
Very not true we cannot work and rain with no shoes thank you anyway sir look at our reviews we do not have these type of problems we try our best to please all customers this one is just very very very tough God bless you and your soul and spirit

Clarence and his crew arrived on time, and we're actually able to change the time for me which was great. They were prepared for the job and worked hard. One of the crew members decided to use our bathroom, the master bathroom and clogged our toilet. If they had asked to use a bathroom, I would have had no problem letting them use one. I just think it wasn't very professional, to not let us know, or to ask for something to unclog the toilet. Also, I had asked that they put together the kitchen table. Nothing was put together. They left our reclining love seat in 5 pieces, didn't even try to put the back on the couch.
