When the movers arrived, I let them know I had a cat in the apartment. I understand that my pet is my responsibility, however the main door to the apartment and the exterior door was left open for extended periods. I kept stressing I was concerned about her getting out. The cat somehow got out of the apartment and out of the building. When I kept mentioning to them that the cat was missing they did not show any concern, which again I understand as it was not their pet. All being said, they kept getting texts from their “boss” wanting to know what the job was not done. There is a two hour minimum for their services, but the “boss” started messaging them after less than an hour. They finished loading my rental truck, came back up and asked me to click on the link that was sent earlier in order for them to get paid. Being so concerned about my missing cat and the need to find her I did as asked and payment was made. After they left I went to the truck to put the tv in because they told me that they could not load it without the box because they do not wrap things. When I opened the door to the rental, I had to re-arrange most of the smaller pieces. They were stacked in a way that they would never had made even a short trip without falling over. In fact, they would have fallen over before leaving the parking lot. They had to remove the legs to my sofa and take apart my dining room table in order to get them down the stairs. Again, understandable. I found one of the sofa legs in one spot and some others in another spot, and I did not find all of them, so maybe they will turn up when unpacking. I do not know where the hardware to my table is and can only hope it is still attached to the legs. Both movers were polite and pleasant. I am not a hard person to please, even told them that some of the smaller items I would do to save time for them. I had a specific time frame to leave and that has been delayed looking for my still missing cat and re-arranging the furniture.
