Morris Moving were great to work with. On time and super fast! They had dollys and had no trouble getting up two flights of stairs even with a large couch. Would recommend and would definitely book again for future moves

We had a pretty awful experience with these movers and I want to preface by saying that I have never had a bad experience with movers (I suppose I should consider myself lucky!) and that I used to work for a local moving company in Houston and understand the ins and outs of this business. I have never taken the time to write a poor review but am doing so in hopes that it could help someone else out that may be in my situation. First, the movers were scheduled to show up between 12 and 1 pm. They called me around 11:30 to say they were finishing up a job and would be heading my way soon. I appreciated that. Then, I did not hear from them again until after 1 pm in which they called to let me know they were going to stop and get food on the way over. There was no acknowledgement of the fact that they are now late, arriving after the window that was scheduled. Everyone needs to eat so I let it go (I am a reasonable person). They finally arrived at 2:20 pm and SLOWLY began working. They would do things like take 5-10 minutes to load 3 boxes on a dolly and take them downstairs (with each step making such a loud sound I had to ask them to please be careful - I have fragile items in those boxes). My husband, who I didn't want to be lifting heavy before a 3 day drive across country, began to start working with them when we realized how slow things were progressing. I would notice my husband carrying one box down at a time and knock out 5 in the time it took the movers to load 3 boxes on a dolly and get them down the stairs. The movers mentioned we were their third job of the day and it definitely showed. I noticed only one of the movers working and wondered if the other one was knocking out the downstairs so I went downstairs to check only to find the other mover 3 houses down the street talking on his cell phone. I actually have pictures of my husband loading the moving truck while this other mover was on a phone call. After he got off, I mentioned my frustration about how my husband was doing all the work while he was on the phone and his response was "ma'am I've only been on the phone for 3 minutes." Not true. But, of course, no apology or concern, regardless. I guess this is what you get when you pay for a service by the hour rather than the service as a whole but my blood was boiling at this point. I called in to customer service to let Hire a Helper know the poor experience I was having in hopes it could be rectified before the job was over and so they notified the moving company (I believe it was the owner that they called). The owner turned around and called the mover and when he realized I called and complained he began treating us horribly- slowed down further and did not want to help. My husband almost asked him to just leave. Hire a Helper ended up providing a small discount to me on the total cost which was nice but the service, all in all, was a total waste of money. My husband did most of the work which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. I would never use this moving company again.

Hi Chelsea

I spoke to josh as soon as they arrived to your location and he immediately informed me that you were upset due to their morning jobs causing delays.

He asked was it ok if your husband loaded the truck because he was demanding to and told them he knew exactly how he wanted it loaded and the order he wanted things loaded in.
Each and every time Josh used his phone was to call us to explain the situation on the jobsite. They were uncomfortable with how you were talking to them and treating them and only agreed to stay and finish because they said your husband was nice and told them to ignore you because you were pregnant.

They fully completed the job within the scheduled 3 hours despite having someone loading the truck that wasn’t experienced in loading. We agreed to a discounted rate for you to remedy this but apparently you were requesting not to have to pay for your move at all that was fully completed in the time frame it was estimated for by you.

These guys were amazing. They got here on time and cleared out our whole 26Ft truck as requested! So happy that they were here to help unload, wouldn’t have been able to do it without them!!! Would for sure recommend them if you need any moving or unloading help!!!

The guys hit traffic but totally out of their control. Got the whole moving project knocked out in an hour flat! The gents handled everything professionally and safely but didn’t waste any time. Probably by far the most efficient moving crew I have used. For sure use these guys when you need to get work done.
