I logged on to Hire a Helper after my moving company - Prestige Movers - did not show up for my confirmed move. It was the last day of the month on a Friday night and I scrambled to rent a U-Haul and needed to find labor. Through the site I found 3 Brothers Moving. They were available to come first thing Saturday morning (on the first of the month!) so I confirmed them for 9am.
I can't say enough about my movers - Edgar & Jose - they called me that morning to confirm they were on the way and showed up 10 minutes early. They were extremely nice, polite and ready to work! I hired them for 2 hours and they finished moving my 7 pieces of furniture (and a few boxes) from one 5 flight walk up to another in an hour and 1/2!
I would definitely recommend them and "Hire a Helper" to anyone!

One of the guys showed up right on time, one was ~10 minutes late. They worked hard and did the job well. I'd use them again!

Scheduled for 12:00 pm on my moving day. I called the day before and the morning of to confirm. At noon, they weren't there. I had a Budget rental truck sitting outside my apartment for the next 3 hours, waiting on the 2 guys who allegedly were on their way. I called multiple times, asking where they were, and the person on the phone said, "They didn't show up yet? Oh ..." And then, "They said 15 more minutes" (multiple times). Finally, they just stopped answering the phone altogether. I was forced to load the truck by myself so that I could get started on my road trip to the south. I was out of my apartment that day (end of lease), so I had no options. These guys showed up as I was finishing, didn't speak English, were smaller than most females, and stared at me like it was my fault they were late. Had no interest in helping. I told them to move a few boxes to finish my truck as I was sweating and several hours late. I chose them because of the reviews, but now I'm convinced that most are fake. Total flake job, but even when they showed up, at the end, they were rude. The guy who runs the thing had the nerve to text me multiple times asking me to release payment. For what? No. Horrible service. These guys scammed me.

On time, hard working, FAST, nice guys, respectful of my stuff. Very pleased with these guys. They didn't come with any equipment other than door stops, but they didn't need anything. They did a stellar job and I'd definitely use them again.

I booked them the night before and they were prompt in their response to me, showed up right on time, and immediately got to work. They were very organized, handled the boxes well and stacked them nicely inside. We were unloaded in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend them and will probably use them again in the future!
