There were 2 young men that arrived on time with only their 2 hands to do the job.& they did it quickly . They piled all of my boxes in my living room & kitchen without leaving a path to walk anywhere! They threw all of my hang up clothes in my closet floor instead of putting them on the rods. Also since they had not left at place to walk they threw my dining room chairs chairs on top of my boxes instead of sitting them around the table because they had put too many boxes in the way. After they had finished this they said they were done when I told the I had paid for 3 hrs & I needed the boxes cleared out of they walk way they said they were done unloading & they were done!! It was about like having 2 kids doing a job & no I would not recommend these unloaders , I was very disappointed.

They were hours late which also caused me to incur additional charges on my rental vehicle. They offered no discounts or anything. They also never informed me that they damaged some of my furniture, which I later discovered on my own afterwards. The workers were extremely young but worked fairly hard but I would never use them again.

We have a very heavy recliner couch that was upstairs and needed help with that. The guys that got it up there had a lot of problems, but the guys from Hire a Helper brought it down in a flash with no damage to the couch or the wall. The guys did great!

Absolutely the worst moving experience - my brother and his friends have done a better job. they showed up without any of the items the site showed they would bring, so they saw OUR hand truck and used it the entire time. They were dressed like they were going to a rock concert with pants sagging. They were slow, smoking out by the truck sitting in the truck looking around doing nothing until I came out and saw him. They changed the amount of time and number of people to how it fit good for their schedule. I was experiencing medical issues so my husband was caring for me and came inside our house we just sold to find 2 men slamming our washer into the door jam trying to "make it fit". My husband asked what they were doing and they said oh it wont fit. So my husband helped them take off the door. I mean the ignorance AMAZED me and they are really lucky I was not able to see any of the damages they left behind for us to fix and had to replace the whole door jam and delayed our move out and expenses - it was a hot mess. At our move in location they hit a light fixture and bend it no sorry or anything. They were ramming the hand truck with boxes up the driveway instead of just pulling it so the boxes werent falling off. My mom sat and watched them in her car from a distance (my son fell asleep and it was a nice day so she stayed in the car with him.) and she saw everything and how careless they were. They then hararrassingly called me over 10 times to make me pay them. It was Christmas time and I was not paying them until I spoke with HireaHelper. So I finally speak with HireaHelper and they look into it and they say they have a "signed" agreement that I was happy with the work etc. I said what? They sent me the agreement and the office lady for this sad excuse of a business FORGED my name..... you read correctly - FORGED my name on the agreement. I was livid and again they are lucky I didn't call the police. They only refunded what I paid ahead of time which I had to fight for, shame on your HireaHelper, and they refused to refund the overtime for these slow guys. I had to call my brother to help me finish since they took so long and packed poorly. Without any refund - I paid the same amount as I would have for professional movers..... so much for going this route to save money. Save yourself and just hire real professionals. I will NEVER use this site again and I hope people learn from my lesson and don't have to experience this first hand. I have the forged agreement and picture of the damages (more than I mentioned) for proof if anyone doubts me.

They were scheduled between 6-7 but did not arrive until 7:55 due to car problem ( There girlfriend is the one that called me to let me know about the car problems). Once they arrived it was 3 kids not professional movers they chipped the paint on the walls, when they dropped my bedroom dresser but was courteous to tell me. One of the boys smelled like straight alcohol as if he came straight from the club to work. I had them focus on the big stuff because they kept standing around so I had to literally let them know what I wanted them to focus on so all the small stuff was unloaded to the garage by me. However all the boys were very polite with yes mam no mam. Sorry but don't think I would use this company again.

I have used this service before and had excellent service. This team showed up late when arrived had no ID or even know my name. They completed job just under 2 hours and asked for additional work to stay 2 hours. Then when I told them I had no cash to tip them they insisted they follow me to bank for tip. They did a ok job. The previous team was professional walked me through all the details of 2 hours and these guys did not come ready. Had to even use my own dolly.

Same Day Moves
We charge an extra 20% for same day requests.
Next Day Moves
We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
Refunding Unused Time
We do not refund for any unused time.
Extra Hours
We can always stay at least 2 hours over the prebooked time.
