Dan and Matt showed up on time and worked hard for the amount of time we scheduled. They were careful not to track in the winter snow, dirt and salt. You can tell they are expert movers with the way they knew which furniture could come apart and the best way to move the heavy pieces that don't come apart. We would recommend them.

I used hire a helper for my last move. Two movers from the moving company was very friendly and helpful. They have arrived 15 minutes prior to the start time and prepared. Unfortunately weather was really bad. Snow and slippery road made transportation of my furniture difficult than usual move. The only thing I wish I have known is to protect your furniture. My furniture were damaged which I expected to some extent but if you have very expensive furniture, prepare it for the movers with extra padding and protectors (use sheets ) to avoid nicks and chips in the midst of move. Another recommendation I have for the moving company is that someone needs to come and assess the opening of doors and stairways width prior to the move. I found out in the hard way that moving my sofa from townhome into an apartment was impossible. Movers did extra creative work to remove the doors to fit it, but the size didn't work. I have paid overage in labor due to the amount of time it took trying to accommodate it. Knowing the dimensions of the openings (for doors/hallways) beforehand would have helped the move. Other than the hiccups, I am happy with the movers (John and Joe). They were hard workers.
