They called me just after the reservation was made, and we also spoke on the phone on the morning they loaded my cargo van. They were right on time, very well prepared for the job, worked steadily and completed the work in about an hour. They were very courteous and also respectful of my property. I would definitely use them again, or recommend them.

Paul and Gavin were great. Arrived right on time. Took the time to see where we wanted our desk and determined what needed to be done to get it into the room we wanted it in. It was a solid oak desk weighing about 300 pounds and they made sure they took their time as to not damage the desk or our walls. I would recommend using them!

Thought they would be great. Never showed. Had to get emergency crew that night who turned out to be horrible.

I hired them to load a 10 foot uhaul truck. The movers were 4 hours late. With the help of Hire a Helper I was able to get in touch with the owner who apologized (and cited a mechanical breakdown of the crew) and offered a discount. In the end the job got done and none of my items were damaged, despite questionable positioning of some of the furniture items in the truck. Overall, once the movers arrived they got to work and were pretty efficient. I was told a different story by one of the movers who said her partner bailed on her earlier in the day when they stopped at the store en route to my place. The owner ended up sending in a replacement guy. Regardless of what really happened, the whole process was unnecessarily frustrating.

Not only didn’t they show up, but my wife and I were told they would be there the following day between 12 and 1 and nobody showed up. Hire a Helper acted as if they were trying to correct the problem but they told us nobody was available when I called them at 1:30. This caused my wife and me to unload the 20 foot truck ourselves. She is 65 and I am 69. We got it done by 5:00. U-Haul charged us for another day rental- $185.00. Hire a Helper has not reimbursed us for that. I sent them the invoice showing the daily rental. As far as I am concerned, they didn’t take responsibility for their screw up and the screw up of the company they represented. Do not use this company!!!! They have no idea what exceptional Customer Service means or even what poor customer service means. They are clueless!
