Our concern was that we had some heirloom furniture handmade by our father and we needed to get each piece from Pennsylvania to Illinois in a truck that we were renting SAFELY! I received a phone call from Marshall a few days after using "Hire A Helper" and he was very curious about what it was that we were moving so he could understand what special care we needed for him to provide. He told me what supplies he would need and I purchased those from various online vendors. Marshall and Derrick showed up early and we took a tour to show them what needed their help.
They disassembled each piece carefully, wrapped them in mover's pads, taped the pads, and used rolls of shrink wrap to encase each piece of furniture. They loaded everything onto the truck, including any boxes and bins we needed to move. They placed everything so nothing would shift during transit. We were still nervous, but when we got to Illinois, everything was in beautiful condition! Not a scratch, mark, dent, or mar on any of the pieces.
If they took this much care of our special pieces, I can imagine they would do the same for you!

Marshall (owner) was very professional and called to confirm all of the details the day before, including the names of the movers that were coming. Then called again the morning of to let me know the estimated time they would arrive. Today was a hot, humid, disgusting day outside and Matt and Darren were fast, efficient and didn’t complain once. They arrived on time and ready to go. All of my items transported without damage. They had the apartment loaded into the truck in 45 min and I was unloaded into the new house by the 1 hour 20 min mark. I was SHOCKED!! I had paid for 3 hours and was refunded the extra hour The same day. I would definitely recommend Handy Hands if you are moving.

I needed some guys to meet our truck and unload it. I only gave Marshall one day’s notice and he delivered. He responded very quickly, checked back several times and even accommodated my need to push back the start time. The guys who did the hauling, Howard and Tyler, were careful with the boxes and loose items. They helped assemble the bed and wore their masks, despite the heat and the hard work shlepping stuff up a steep flight of stairs.
