Ray called to confirm the day before. That night, he called to ask if we could switch the time to the afternoon. I asked when and he said 2 pm. I told him that would be fine.
Moving day, he calls at noon to say he will be there “between 2 and 3.” He shows up at 3:45 and sends in two kids who are reeking of weed and higher than giraffe balls. Of course they’re slow and keep asking if things go on the truck. Everything is packed, genius, YES it goes on the truck.
The weirdest thing of all is that Ray stayed in his car the entire time and only got out at the storage unit to argue with us about money. Super sketchy to have him just hanging in his car smoking weed (which isn’t legal on Section 8 property). You think I’m stupid, guys? I was afraid my apartment was going to smell like weed. That’s how much you smelled like weed.
If you’re reading this before your move, do yourself a favor and use U-Haul’s site. Every mover we spoke to quoted $400 or less FLAT rate. I’m the sucker who booked through this rotten service and paid that for loading up ONLY. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Our movers were on time and communicated frequently. One of our hired movers was really prepared and helpful but the other was just so-so and it resulted in the move taking 2 extra hours. They were both hard working and had great service. The property was treated just okay. I would likely book a different mover next time.

I’d give 4.5 stars if I could, but since I can’t I’m rounding up. They were over an hour late after the window, but they were professional and efficient when they showed. I’d hire these two again specifically. I also appreciated the communication from the supervisor Raymond, from EZ move, and from hire a helper

Our movers were scheduled to arrive between 10-11 am to help us with a move. They called at 10 saying that they were running behind and would be there in 2 hours. When three hours passed they called again and said that they were still an hour away. They weren't pleasant on the phone either when informing us about their tardiness. When they showed up, they got dropped off and came to start loading the moving truck. We ended up with two high school kids who seemed like they never moved furniture before. They were so rude and unprofessional the entire 2 hours we had them scheduled. When shown what furniture they would be moving they would roll eyes and mumble under their breath. While moving the furniture out of our house and into the truck they managed to damage every wall, floor and piece of furniture that we owned. The amount of damage to the walls was around $300 and the damage to the furniture was close to $1000, some of which were antique and couldn't be repaired or replaced. When spoken to about the tardiness, the behavior and all the damage the boss had said he didn't care and that they still expected to be paid in full, and that they understand we are upset with how the move went but there was nothing they would do.
