They were great! I especially appreciated them moving our boxes carefully and withing the 2-hr limit!

They were simply careless in their handling of several large pieces of furniture, which in at least one case may have resulted in irreparable damage to the piece. Midway through the move and with no prior warning one of the four employees announced he had to leave for another job. His absence resulted in an exponential drop in production because of fatigue and since some of the larger and heavier pieces still remained. While we paid for only the 3 remaining employees over the last few hours, the savings were offset by the drop in production that prolonged the move. And they ran out off shrink wrap. Really?

Did they work hard? Yes. Were they respectful? Yes! The workers were classy and intelligent in the way they interacted with us amidst very difficult and challenging lifting and working. They took great care of our items in how they wrapped and packed them into the storage container. My main frustration was that they were scheduled for a 9:00am arrival and they arrived at 10:30am. I had to initiate contact with the office to find out their arrival time.

Packers arrived on time and did a great job of packing my POD. The POD was being moved 1400 miles after being stored for 5 months. When it arrived at its destination, absolutely NOTHING had moved inside the POD, since they had packed it so well. They worked hard, but the packing took twice as long as originally stated for the size of my POD, even though we had everything boxed and ready to be moved, so cost was much higher then expected. Also, they ran out of packing blankets and didn't let me know until the store was closed, so a few pieces of furniture, not wrapped well, were scratched & corners damaged, since everything was packed so tightly. Overall, good job, nothing broken. I would use them again.

Ira and Ralphie with J & L Movers were awesome! Supposed to arrive between 9 and 10, they called before 9 and said they would be there at 9:15 and they were. They took stock of my two bedroom townhome contents, then immediately went to work packing the PackRat and I breathed a sigh of relief and left it in their hands.They knew how to pack it, worked quietly, worked as a team, completely focused on the job the entire time. Finished ahead of schedule, and explained they had different methods for packing each type of container (Packrat, Pod, Uhaul) - because of how they were physically moved from place to place - to ensure the least amount of stuff shifting around. Professional, nice people. Yup, I'd hire them again and I highly recommend J & L!

They were on time, prepared and absolutely wonderful. We were facing a last minute move, packing our three bedroom house into a uhaul truck and two pods and were on a tight schedule. Not only did the owners stop by our house a day early to do a complimentary walk through but on the moving day the four movers showed up on time and were extremely friendly and efficient. My husband and I could not have been happier with the whole experience. Only wish you guys were in California to help us unload! Great service!
