I booked the “loading side” with them, in Covina Calif. They told me they could also unload in Texas. So I booked both side of the move, reasonable prices. Both pairs, loading and unloading end were on time, actually 15 minutes early. On time, prepared to work and very courteous. The both did excellent work, and were extremely helpful. Not sure who does the hiring and training but these two pairs were the best. I would recommend them to family, more importantly, I would use them again. Great job to everyone!!!!

I had a very bad experience with other movers, but your guys were professional and handle my belongings with care (except I didn't pack a box right and some dishes got broken but my fault) and I would recommend them to anyone I wish I would have had your company in Johnson County Alvarado, Tx. When I had to load there. The pricing was fair. Thank you, guys, for your helpfulness and professionalism.

They worked hard, but they joked around with each other in the POD between most every load. While they did not take even a 10 minute break to cool down and rest. The accumulation of this joking time seriously bothered me at the beginning. It continued throughout and I was afraid they wouldn't finish in the 2 hours and they didn't. I was moving into a brand new tiny house. The hallway and the doorways are narrow. With several pieces of furniture they hit the walls, corners and doorways leaving scuff mark. This was unacceptable. I have a 100+ year old iron bedframe that does not come apart. It was challenging for the movers to get it out of my cabin where i had been living but they were careful and methodical about trying different ways to make it fit. They achieved the task without damaging anything. These guys were the opposite. Not methodical, not careful, did scuff the doorway and did not achieve the task. After two different rambunctious attempts to get it in they deemed that it would not go in. When they discontinued the attempt i phoned my neighbor who was watching and she immediately said, "We can get it in", and i agreed. I had suggested another way to them just as they were declaring it will not go in. I also said that I believed it could be taken apart with a sledge hammer. They seemed willing to try. I got the sledge hammer. Then they were talking kind of cocky about it just won't go, when Terrick quickly turned a corner and split my turntable from the 70s on then ground and as he reached for it he poured my valuable receiver on the ground. I happened to see it. He did not notify me of the blunder. These have been moved boxes as they were by at least 6 people and nothing of harm has ever happened to them. When they left, the bedframe sat in the yard with the sledge hammer by it untouched. The two boards that go under the mattress were leaning on the POD. I walked into the POD and found a corner of some pieces of furniture i have yet to identify from wince it comes. I found several small white candles scattered about the ground, walked on and squished into the ground that were originally in a Christmas box. There were little balls that go with a game that was in a box full of games. I knew that the little balls had fallen out of the game box but were still in the bottom of a tall 36' x 18' x 18' box. It would take a great deal of mishandling to pour them out of that tall box. I doubt the movers that loaded the POD would have put the box on it's side and set up such a mishap. I found buttons and plastic plugs that go over screws in inexpensive furniture.
If this had been the first time that i used Moving Staffers Marketplace, recommended by PODS, it would have been the last time that i used them. However, i have used them before and had interaction with several companies that they contract with and have been most pleased with their service. I would recommend for them to find other companies in the Austin area with whom to contract.

Mover's response:
Hi mam, first off all, when you rent a service you do not own them, we aren't slaves that are just going to not speak and keep our heads down, additionally your job was 100% finished within the 2 hour reservation, look at your receipt again and you will see it was finished within the 2 hour minimum, we actually finished in 1.5 hours, so thats a flat out lie. By your own admission we didn't even take a single break the entire move, talking to each other while we're moving doesn't slow us down, to think we have to keep our mouths shut and that will make us move faster is ludicrous. Secondly your loading crew (not us) packed your pod poorly and boxes were squished and damaged which caused things to fall out of boxes, which we notifed you of, we didn't pack your pod we have no control over the different company that did and how they did, so the buttons, plugs, screws, candles, and other items that fell out of squished boxes was a result of whatever company you used to poorly pack your pod on the other end. Additionally tiny homes have very narrow hallway and doorways, and we stated your bed frame wouldn't fit assembled and would scuff your walls if you insisted on us trying to force the frame in, you were adamant about us trying to get it in against our advice, so we did as asked and it obviously scuffed your walls because you demanded we try to force it in, which you're loable for when you ask us to do things we advise against. Just because something fits out of one home (a normal sized home) doesnt mean it's going to fit in another (especially as tiny home) different homes are built to different specifications. Additionally we don't hit furniture with sledge hammers to disassemble them as old iron beds could have compromised weld points and can easily break. If it doesn't come apart normally we don't beat up items to disassemble them regardless if a customer asks for it, we can't knowingly break someone's furniture just because they believe it will fit when we tell them it won't, we've been doing this for 20+ years and know when items won't fit. Again we didn't load your pod, we unpacked it, damaged and loose items would be because your pod was packed poorly which we had nothing to do with. This temper tantrum is directed at the wrong people, you need to take it up with the loading crew, the people who damaged your items, we notified you as we unloaded damaged items (that, again, was due to the loading crew, not us) we just grabbed the items and brought them in we had nothing to do with the boxing or packing of items. Best of luck, Ogre Man Movers
