Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with my experience with S & L Express Moving Services.
I hired the crew for 3 hours and paid for the full 3 hours, but the job was completed in approximately 2 hours. While the crew did a good job organizing and packing my belongings into the POD, my biggest concern is how the furniture was protected.
I specifically purchased 40 furniture pads so that my furniture could be properly wrapped and protected during transportation. Even after multiple requests to wrap the furniture, the crew did not adequately use the pads. I trusted their experience and allowed them to proceed with the way they felt was appropriate.
Unfortunately, when the POD arrived at my destination, I found damage to my leather chairs and other furniture. This was extremely disappointing, especially because the damage could likely have been avoided with proper wrapping and a little more care.
What makes this more frustrating is that there was still approximately one hour remaining in the time I had already paid for. I would have much preferred that the crew use the full three hours to carefully wrap and secure the furniture rather than finishing early.
The crew was capable and did a good job arranging everything inside the POD, but speed should not come at the expense of protecting the customer's belongings. If they had been more attentive, used the furniture pads I provided, and utilized the full time available, I believe I would have had a much better experience.
Unfortunately, nothing can change the situation now, and the damage to my furniture cannot be reversed. I hope S & L Express Moving Services takes this feedback seriously and emphasizes proper furniture protection with future customers.

This is the 2nd time I’ve used this company and they were terrific. Showed up in the timeframe that was asked for and worked their tails off. Very good at maximizing space and super careful with how they load. Highly recommend.

My movers were very late. One was impulsive and struggled to do things with the other, often damaging items. My 2 hour window turned into just 1 hour based on the text I received stating my 2 hours was almost up. I did not want to incur additional charges for mediocre (at best) work so we ended the experience. I will not be using them again.

I asked the movers to wrap my mattresses so they would not get dirty or get bugs. I also provided the plastic wrap for the mattresses. The movers refused to used the plastic wrap and used my sheets instead. They told me it was time consuming. This caused my mattresses to not only get dirty, but get infested with ants. The movers did not have their own power tools nor did they have any moving equipment such as dollies even though it was requested in the order. This caused the movers to become tired and irritable half way through the move. They were moving everything with their bare hands. One of the movers was sweating so bad that his fingers kept messing up my rolls of tape. They also left one of my tv mounts on the wall even after I gave them my power tools to use. I had to force them to allow me to add bubble wrap to the TVs because they also said it was time consuming. The movers told me the TVs would sit between the mattress and would not have an issue. Upon unpacking, one of the TVs has a crack in it. I am also missing parts to a bed. I reached out to the movers and was told their manager would reach back out to me with no follow up.

Tardy, disrespectful, rude, and did not take good care of the equipment. They were not professional, showed up disheveled, and did not have any equipment with them. Do not hire from them.

The movers showed up on time and were very nice. They loaded my truck up but ended up packing in a way that damaged a fair amount of my furniture. Then they got a flat tire on the way to the second location. They did inform me of it but had no plan on what to do and told me they had to call their boss. I didnt hear from them for another hour. The company themselves never called. The movers were still trying to figure something out for another 3 hours before I had to tell them not to bother coming. I called hireahelper several times and they were not very helpful either. Overall disappointing and frustrating.

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
