(4) 5/26/2018 San Antonio

They were right on time. Both were respectful. Two things are negative. One, they would not use the straps I put every 5 feet in the container to help keep the load in place. 2nd, thing was shrink wrapping, I finally convinced them that I wanted the boxes shrink wrap (that I supplied). 3rd thing was, I paid for 5 hours, but the job was done in 3 1/2 hours, and I was not able to get a refund for at least an hour. For this reason only, I would/will not use this contractor C & C Moving Services again.

Mover's response:
Thanks Mike for your comments, but, if you hired us to shrink wrap everything, we would have. Per this contract, that is a service that is offered and extra, you didn't. Also, the way you started to load both containers, it was not weight proportioned, so, we re-did it, so, that the weight was even and to avoid damages. As for a refund, it's stated right on the site, refunds aren't offered. Majority of our customers are thrilled and impressed ( disassembled everything, loaded 2 16' PODS ), when we finish early, so, that they can get on with their day and things that they need to do. How all of this is our fault? We offered you the best service and what you hired us to do, in a professional, efficient manner. Also, if you re-read your move description, you even put in your comments, 3 hours it would take. We appreciate your feedback and have a great day! Carla and Team

I do not normally write online reviews, but the service I received on 3/23/18 was so awful, I feel compelled to warn others thinking about using C&C Moving. My wife and I live in Ohio and had just sold our downtown condo in San Antonio. We were going to be in San Antonio for just 3 days. We had timed the move to allow for the afternoon of 3/23/18 to load the 26' truck. C&C was supposed to arrive between 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. They were over one (1) hour late. When Stephen and Nicholas arrived, they had not pre-planned the parking arrangement of their own vehicle. They took another 30 minutes to find a parking spot and return to the condo to load. They were non apologetic. The very first furniture item they chose to move was a Restoration Hardware aviation wing desk, which is aluminum and quite heavy. They used moving straps to try to move the desk. The strap slipped, and the desk came crashing down about 12 inches onto the concrete. Fortunately, the concrete floor did not crack. The desk was not damaged at that point. However, the movers dented and scratched the polished aluminum desk somewhere between the elevator (we lived on the 2nd floor, which meant the movers had to use either the elevator or the stairs) and the truck. Stephen and Nicholas had no shame in bumping into the walls and the door frames as they carried items. Nearly everything they moved has a scratch or dent. The most egregious conduct was their moving of a 2-piece cloth sectional sofa. This was a new piece of furniture in pristine condition. They were unable to fit it into the elevator, so they used the stairs. The stairwell floor was very dirty, with a thick layer of dust and debris. While Stephen and Nicholas tried to use their straps to carry the bulky sofa, they were unable to use the straps around corners. So, instead, they drug the sofa across the dirty floor; worse, one of the movers had scrapes and abrasions on his upper extremities (presumably from other moving jobs); when they exited the stairwell, I was at the bottom and noticed several blood stains on the sofa in addition to dirty, soiled corners of the sofa. I pointed out to the mover the blood spots, who said "do you see any blood on me?" My wife was quick to point out that yes, you have scrapes all over your arms and your arms clearly have been all over the sofa. I immediately called Carla, the contact person at C&C, and of course, she didn't answer. One of the movers went to take a smoke break and called her before I could. She was apparently on the phone with the mover. I left a voicemail for Carla, but she never called me back; instead, she sent me a text message stating that I would have to contact HireAHelper about the blood stains. The move was scheduled to take 3 hours. It ended up taking over 4 hours. The movers took many smoke and water breaks (of 5-10 minutes) during this time period. We were now close to 6:30 p.m., so my wife and I decided to move the last 30 or so items ourselves down to the building's entrance to make it easier for the movers to finish the job. We moved items like tables, chairs, bed frame, and other home furnishings, or the move would have taken another 30-45+ minutes for the movers to load the truck. This was an absolute awful experience. I would caution anyone thinking about using C&C, as I cannot imagine a worse moving company.

Mover's response:
Thank you Charles for taking your time to slander my company and movers. I did speak with you and asked for pics ( never got them from YOU, only my movers). Where your couch was already damaged, broke and badly stained. Your wife and you moved the desk, which she dropped. Yes, we were late, because, YOU weren't ready and told the movers to give you another hour. So, your ENTIRE review is false and we have the pics that were provided to HAH. You also, were not nice at all during the entire move, calling movers names, and putting them down. We didnt want to finish your move, due to the treatment that was being down towards us, but, we continued to act professional and stayed until the job was completed. NOTHING was packed, ready and we could only load what was ready and as your both were hurrying and throwing things into the boxes. We all explained that things are going to get damaged. So, next time, I would appreciate, not being slandered and a false review being posted, when we did everything professionally, including our attitudes. Thank you, Carla - owner

Knew how to move things effectively. Never commented or complained about the shape, size, weight or condition of the property. Good guys.

Horrible experience. Owner said they could pack, movers said they didn’t pack. Owner said she was sending her best crew - 3 hungover kids showed up 2 hours late. Owner said crew could stay until job was done - crew said they had to leave 1 hr after original estimated time, which required me to scramble and find another service midday. Loaders did not know what they were doing. Tried to load furniture unprotected unless I was supervising every step. Find someone else!

Mover's response:
Completely untrue Jim and you know that. You were completely unprepared, nothing was packed or ready, your tables and desks and drawers were all filled. You didn't hire us to pack, just to load. But for someone who is completely dissatisfied with our service why give the Movers a nice generous tip? Your reservation was a complete nightmare and has been fully doct but for someone who is completely dissatisfied with our service why give the Movers a nice generous tip? Your reservation was a compl

Get To Know Us

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We are thorough, dedicated, hard-working professionals with 13+ years experience. We treat everything as though it is personally our own.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Movers will arrive 10 minutes prior, do a walk-through, and get right to work. No slackers here. We value our customers time.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Customer should be ready upon our arrival, everything boxed. If we are loading, Customer should have tie-downs, so, that we can secure everything into their trucks and nothing shifts while it’s being driven. This prevents damage.

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled local, residential, commercial, and long distance moves.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

Our favorite part of moving is getting to know our customers and meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations.

What training do you provide your crew members?

We are huge on customer service. We have thorough training on loading and unloading. We packed a very tight truck, that even a car key cannot fit between the boxes. The worst thing is for our customers to have to leave something behind.
