We started out slow because only one person came. Then a whole crew showed including a supervisor, to explain the problem.
These guys worked like crazy to unload our moving truck. They were a great bunch of guys, professional and friendly. I would hire again.

First of all, the 6 hour day of the moving experience started with the 8-9am start time not getting started until 9:30am because they were late. Then even with explicit instructions to meet in the alley behind the house where the truck was parked they proceeded to use the front door. After a phone call from them I was able to get them to show up in the back of the house.
The move into the truck went well in getting everything loaded in order of my drop off locations I had. The only real issue is that the stacking of the boxes was on uneven surface so when the truck moved they all came crashing down. Still not sure if everything in the boxes have survived the move or not since we have not completely emptied them prior to this review showing up. Having someone in the house and someone on the truck would have been a better idea since they did not know how to load the truck correctly.
The guys in general were very hard workers even with answering phone calls, texts, etc while they were working. I furnished them water, sweat rags, and smoke breaks when needed. It was a hot summer day in Florida for sure.
When we got to our final destination is when the guys started getting tired and more carless with the larger furniture. They would drop the furniture on it's legs, slide them along without using a blanket that I provided and made a few dings in the furniture. Granted the furniture is heavy and is why I used their service since I could not do it all myself. I furnished furniture dolly's that were not always used to help protect the furniture. One piece they broke the leg on and left it standing on it's end... I am not even sure how I will be able to get the leg back on to be able to use it again. Several dings, scratches, and chips in the wood furniture is going to be a whole separate process for me.
All in all... they did work hard and moved a whole house of furniture and boxes on a hot summer day. But things like leaving all of the boxes in the downstairs area because they did not know how to use the dolly properly. Instead of taking the boxes where they needed to be was something I didn't like since now I had to finish moving the boxes myself. Since there was an option to extend their services I asked them to extend the move to include taking the rest of the truck and unloading it at the storage unit, but since it was their option they decided not to extend so I had to unload the rest of the truck by myself. They also tried to leave 30 minutes early and I managed to negotiate the larger furniture be removed from the truck before they go while we ate pizza that we provided. The reason that they were trying to leave early was because their time clock started at 9am and not 9:30am when they arrived. They counted time for looking and not brining any furniture dolly's with them as moving time. In the request I checked the box that I had furniture dolly's, but were trying to say they had to look for some and since they needed to put down a deposit they decided against it.
My recommendation is to find a service that does not charge by the hour, but by the job. I do not feel the job was completed since I had to move the 30 boxes up the stairs myself and take the rest of the items off of the truck at the storage unit. I could have paid for 10 hours to which I would not have been refunded if they had finished early, but I think if I had to do it again... I would have hired one crew at the loading and a "fresh" crew at the unloading end. They were not "professional" movers based on my experience and were doing this for extra money. So making sure they load and unload properly falls on the shoulders of you as the customer. In hind sight I would have also wrapped blankets around the furniture and not rely on them to use them on their own.
I might use the service again for a different job than moving my personal property... but not as a moving company...

Would 100% recommend Moving Madness! After booking with a previous company on HireAHelper never showed up for our 10am Load into our POD. Customer service was able to get in touch with Melanie and her Team to pick up our last minute urgent request.
This was a military move and after the first company not showing- my frantic wife had nothing but praise about the guys. They were very hard working, diligent and friendly, despite having to deal with the 3 flights of stairs, the heat, and the many heavy plastic bins, without a dolly.
