EW Movers came to the rescue! The original contract failed! big time. EW Movers showed up, on a saturday evening... when I am certain they had other plans. They took care of the job with a wonderful attitude and complete expediency. I was at my wits end, having been left high and dry by another company. This company stepped in, did the job, well, fast and with a smile. I would hire them at any price. again!!

Once they arrived, the job was done well. They arrived 3+ hours after scheduled time due to previous job taking longer and traffic on the interstate. Luckily we had some flexibility so it all worked out. However, I was dissappointed that I had to contact them several times throughout the day to get a status. In addition, I paid for 4 hours but the job only took 3 hours--the "boss" said because I requested 2 helpers and he helped, the job was done quicker than it would have been. I disagree as the two workers did 99% of the job by themselves. The "boss" helped very little and only on the back end, from what I observed. Not entirely dissappointed but little hiccups left a slightly negative impression.

I contacted HireAHelper to assist me with loading a truck for a 12-1pm move. I selected Lewis Moving Service One Call Does It All based upon the reviews/feedback and no cases of no-shows.
About an hour or more into my scheduled and confirmed appointment, I had heard nothing. When I attempted to contact the company directly, I was sent to voicemail and advised via text that the person was in a meeting and was unable to speak. I notified this individual that I was awaiting the arrival of the movers. The owner who had been texted did not appear to have any sense of urgency in the matter. I had to contact them multiple times via text requesting a simple response. The owner made no attempt to proactively contact me, work on a reschedule or any other viable option.
Despite my concerns about the delay and having to pay additional for my truck and drivers I received no response. Close to three hours later and still no ETA or response in the negative or affirmative that the appointment was still on. I contacted Jessica at HireAHelper who go me in touch with another company who sent out workers who were able to show up between 5-6pm. I am grateful that I booked the original company through HireAHelper instead of directly because of the assistance that Jessica was able to provide in finding an alternative. The amount of additional costs that I would have been responsible for considering that the appointment would have been last minute would have been excessive. Although I will be more than willing to work with HireAHelper again, I will be sure to steer clear of Lewis Moving Service One Call Does It All, their lack of professionalism and concern is disgraceful to their field.
E.W. Movers on the other hand will receive a 5-star rating from me. The owner called me to confirm the appointment and ETA of the movers. I had originally booked 3 movers for 3 hours. E.W. sent 4 movers and were able to complete the task in 2 hours. The workers were polite, careful, respectful and confirmed what could/would be done at certain circumstances instead of assuming. I would absolutely recommend E.W. Movers to anyone looking for assistance.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day you can expect a call to let you know that we're headed to your location. When we arrive we will do a walk-through to assess the location. If there are no questions from neither party then we'll get right to work for you!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best thing you can do on moving day is make sure everything is packed and ready to go. If you are unsure or concerned about something don't hesitate to give us a call.
