The only reason E.W. Movers rated a two star, is because for the first hour or so, they seemed excellent. They were on time, prepared for the job, worked hard (for the 1st hour or two), respectful of property in the beginning of the proces, I would not use them again. By the time we got from the POD storage to the apartment storage, their service snowballed into a nightmare. Without going into all the details, one of the movers (I believe the owner) knocked on my apartment door angrily telling me "would you call your husband - I've been waiting for them (my husband and his helper) here at the storage room for 20 minutes and I'm frustrated". I asked why he didn't just call his helper. He replied "because his phone is off" storming down the hallways. Within a couple minutes, he sees my husband and his helper coming down the hall with a load of boxes and from a distance, yelled at them at the top of his lungs. I told him to stop yelling in the apartment complex. He became increasingly frustrated and said "I'm leaving"! I reminded him that I signed up for you guys to stay until the job was finished, I had a cast on my foot therefore could not move the items myself. He didn't care and left. His helper was professional throughout the entire process - he told me the owner was misbehaving because he was anxious to get to a family reunion. The owner was relatively professional in the beginning of the process, but never real pleasant. I later found out that he was very wreckless is placing my belongings into the storage. He blamed my husband for "holding up progress by being so particular". That's not my husband, and if it was the case, we have a right and responsibility to take care of our items. In this case, my husband was only helping them move items - EW movers used my husband as the fall guy and excuse for him leaving before the job was done. We spend next several hours finishing up the job, and fixing what EW was so wreckless on in the storage room. Very disappointing experience.

We had a problem with the original local work company that was first recommended. I was told they were going to contact me and they finally did, by email, the day before the work was scheduled. And their email was not understandable. The new work company was very good, but more expensive. HireAHelper covered some of the additional cost. I would definitely use and recommend HireAHelper again.

Kevin and his crew were puctual and came ready to work. They packed my remaining items and worked very hard to get everything loaded in a timely manner. They were courtious and handled my belongings with care. I would most definitely hire them again.

Liked that they cared enough to make things right. All three were friendly and were careful with my stuff. I would recommend them and use them again.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day you can expect a call to let you know that we're headed to your location. When we arrive we will do a walk-through to assess the location. If there are no questions from neither party then we'll get right to work for you!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The best thing you can do on moving day is make sure everything is packed and ready to go. If you are unsure or concerned about something don't hesitate to give us a call.
