They did a fabulous job and kept working at a steady pace despite the horrible heat. They treated us as if we were friends that they were more than happy to help out. They packed the truck well and sturdy, did what they said they would do, and took great care of our items. We appreciate the work they did and the way they represented themselves. Thank you.

I set-up a packing date on 4 Jun 25 for the 6 Jul 25 to pickup the house. However, I later realized that my decision to do a largely Do It Yourself move was beyond what we would be able to accomplish.

On 10 Jun 25, I sent an email the the email address that provided by Fuse canceling the 6 Jul 25 appointment. Unfortunately the email that was provided was incorrect and I receive a "Mail Delivery Failure" notice. I then called and talked to who I thought was the owner and canceled the job and advised him that his email listed was incorrect. I thought the matter was closed.

I later receive a call asking me to talk about the packing materials needed. I told them there were no requirements because job was canceled.

On 20 Jun 25 I called FuseHowever, to make sure there was no problem to confirm they were canceled. Unfortunately, no one answered so I left a voice mail reminding them of the cancelation. Issue closed.

However, on 6 Jul 25 there truck and people arrived at my home wanting to get started. The company which I had contracted with was also there. Clearly a failure to communicate at Fuse. The Fuse people were told that the job had been canceled and they left. THEY DID NO WORK.

When I checked my credit care statement I found charge of $1,750 plus dollars. I called the coordinating company and told them about the above and then called the credit card company to dispute the charge.

I soon got a call from the coordinating company telling me that Fuse not only showed up but did the job according to a Fuse employee. I went through the whole goat rope history with the caller but they were sticking by Fuse. So now it is my word against someone at Fuse. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

I will send a copy of the email (that could not be delivered because Fuse had an erroneous email address in their email to me) and tell outline in detail the above circumstances.

Mover's response:
This is completely inaccurate. We never received any calls or emails details cancellation. Also when the order is booked it generates a receipt with several numbers to call if you have any questions or concerns. You have two of our direct numbers, you also have our email which all of our clients have been able to use to reach us without any issues. You also have the Hireahelper/ Marketplace services emails and toll free numbers. So between both entities you had over 6-7 ways to contact either us directly or the booking to effect a cancellation before your move date. I also gave you a call the day prior which I have call log evidence of confirming our move for the next day.

In none of these did you mention that you had cancelled or did no longer need our services. Our crews showed up as agreed and based on what I was told they worked with the other crew you had on site. They were under the impression that due to the scale of what needed done, both services where required. We never bill for work not completed and also their are many ways to contact us or effect a cancellation, change of date/time etc or whatever change is needed for a booked move. I will be forwarding all correspondence as well to back up what I have stated. Again on various occasions I spoke with you I was never told of an intention to cancel our services.

The guys were great. On time. We unloaded a 26ft moving truck in an hour. They controlled that dolly like it was an extension of themselves. Polite, very hard working, and respectful. Would highly recommend.

To start they were 15 minutes late.
One of the guys was acting as if he was on some kind drugs or drunk.
Once they did a quick walk through and ID the furniture to move, it was requested that I go to the local hardware store to get some plastic wrap to protect some of the pieces. Well, they never used it.
They worked slowly and when the time was up they tried to get hired “off the books” for cash payment.
Not only did they work slowly, they played on their phones frequently, made several phone calls, and constantly complained about the stairs and the fact we live on a hill.
They tried to collect cash payment for the service and got angry when I informed them this was already paid for on a credit card and stated they needed to collect a service fee for walking up and down the stairs and hill.
In the end we needed to repack what they moved to the cargo containers as they just piled it in haphazardly.
I would highly recommend that this service company NOT be hired and look for a better quality elsewhere.

Mover's response:
Move was scheduled for a 9am-10am arrival window. Movers arrived at 9am did walk through to acess what needed to be done and officially started at 9:15am. I am not sure what exactly you mean by 15mins late. Also it took about 10-15mins to assess what needed to be done and best way to proceed because the pods/containers were dropped at the end of the driveway by the street. Also their were 3 additional flights of stairs this customer conveniently avoided to mention. So slopped driveway, then when make up the top of drive way a bit of flat area, once you get past that another two flights of concrete steps outside before you get to the house. Also in the house was another two flights from main floor to the top bedrooms. 5 bedroom home (all fully furnished with dressers, beds, mirrors and night stands, living room, kitchen, garage, storage room, office room).

All this was cleared out by 2 movers except a few pieces in 2 bedrooms in about 3hrs.
The movers had to take very short occasional breaks due to the difficult nature of the terrain they had to navigate.

This move was booked for 3hrs with 2 movers. Also on Hireahelper instructions anything over that has to be paid for separately directly with the customer. This is a pre agreed arrangement so nothing like “off the books” payment. I sometimes wish picture could be uploaded with these replies so anyone reading this can see actual footage of both the terrain and what was cleared out within that 3hrs. I understand doing whatever is needed to insure a satisfied and happy customer. Which we do over 99% of the time. However this was a very unreasonable and unrealistic client. You don’t even have to be a professional mover to understand that with that type of terrain around your home and it being 5 bedroom house with garage. It will take 2 movers more than 3hrs to completely empty it into the moving containers

Guys were on time, and finished on time. But they slammed our boxes around in a way I've never seen movers do before. I asked for a piece of furniture not to be carried in a specific way, and they continued to carry it that way. One of the crew members, the younger one, definitely didn't carry their share of the work. We had to do almost of all of the loading of boxes ourselves. I would not recommend these guys in the Fulton/Columbia area.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

It helps to be properly packed up. Boxes taped up and loose items boxed or bagged ready to go. Also blankets for wrapping wood and other delicate items should be made available. Pathway from the home, through the door way to the truck should be kept clear as possible so as not to interfere with the smooth, efficient and safe movement of items from the home to the truck or container

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled every type of move. Local, long distance, office, warehouse, pods, trucks, containers, home rearranging, tractor trailers as well

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

We love making customers happy and getting very positive feedback. One of my favorite parts is when a customer seems so worried about how they will get it all done but are all smiles and exuberant when we start clearing out things quickly and efficiently. The change from worried to pure joy and happiness can be quite fulfilling.

What training do you provide your crew members?

We make sure all our movers are able to properly lift all items safely. New crew members are made to shadow our tenured & highly experienced movers to show them how we get our moves done. This also includes paying attention to details as well as courteous customer interactions. We start them with simple, quick moves and gradually scale them up to more intricate, bigger moves as they show proficiency and ability to grasp the essentials. Our movers are very highly experienced & have been proven in the field
