My move was a disaster. I requested 2 movers for 3 hours, to load a truck for a cross-country move. The guy showed up with his teenage son, who had no idea what he was doing. They had NO CLUE how to load the truck for a long-distance move. They didn't use the blankets I provided, they refused to use the ratchet straps I provided, to secure the load in sections. Every time I told them to do something, they told me "don't worry, we got this" and ignored me. After 3 hours, the mover's son had to leave to go to his job at McDonalds, at which point the mover started calling around to his friends for help. Needless to say, the effects on my furniture and belongings were horrible. When the truck was unloaded, 1500 miles away, my wooden furniture was scratched and gouged, with one piece getting a hole gouged all the way through the wood. All my upholstered furniture and mattresses were filthy. Because the load shifted in transit, stacks of boxes fell and were crushed. The incompetence of my mover was staggering. I will never EVER use this service again.
I was mostly on the road and Fred when he tried calling couldn’t get through at the moment but his text finally came in. We will make sure this never occurs again as this is completely unacceptable and not the standard we have worked extremely hard to attain

Two hard working gents were a little early and labored nonstop for 2 1/2 hours. Seemed to work together well, communicating well with each other and us. Asked questions as needed, were clever when needed to accomplish the job at hand.

Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The crew showed up half an hour late without a single word of apology or a heads-up.
When they started working, I realized the lead mover had brought a teenager as his second guy. The kid had clearly never moved a piece of furniture in his life and was completely clueless about how to properly load or carry anything. Worse than his lack of experience was his total lack of work ethic—he spent at least 50% of the time staring at his phone.
When I hire movers, I expect a team of experienced professionals who are ready to work, not an uncommunicative late arrival and a distracted teenager. Completely unprofessional and a massive waste of money. Look elsewhere.
When the crew arrived they immediately saw he had way more than indicated. Although it was a 16ft truck as mentioned it would require multiple trips. So the 16ft in essence was 3 trips about 48ft. 4 bedroom worth of items from a 3 level townhome that was moved
Crew got this done in about 4hrs. Yes the unload location was about a mile away but that was a lot of work not mentioned. When we talked to him to confirm the move customer led on like he had only a 16ft truck worth of items to be moved. He never let on until we arrived that he planed on taking multiple full truck loads.
A 16ft truck load and unload is vastly different from 3 full trips of that same 16ft load and unload. It’s common decency to be fair in your assessment or while judging people’s performance. Holding the threat of a bad review as a cudgel is not right. If he had been forthcoming we would have recommended adding a 3rd mover. It would have been done quicker, with the same or more accomplished but without the unnecessary stress. It’s extremely helpful to be forthright and honest with movers on situations on ground prior to the move. It helps for better planning and much more efficient move day

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
It helps to be properly packed up. Boxes taped up and loose items boxed or bagged ready to go. Also blankets for wrapping wood and other delicate items should be made available. Pathway from the home, through the door way to the truck should be kept clear as possible so as not to interfere with the smooth, efficient and safe movement of items from the home to the truck or container

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We love making customers happy and getting very positive feedback. One of my favorite parts is when a customer seems so worried about how they will get it all done but are all smiles and exuberant when we start clearing out things quickly and efficiently. The change from worried to pure joy and happiness can be quite fulfilling.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We make sure all our movers are able to properly lift all items safely. New crew members are made to shadow our tenured & highly experienced movers to show them how we get our moves done. This also includes paying attention to details as well as courteous customer interactions. We start them with simple, quick moves and gradually scale them up to more intricate, bigger moves as they show proficiency and ability to grasp the essentials. Our movers are very highly experienced & have been proven in the field
