On time, efficient, friendly and took care unloading my furniture and belongings. That's all I could ask for and I appreciate their efforts. I used Big Boy Movers the first time to load my storage container and they were good enough that I hired them to unload two months later.

the young men were pleasant and worked quickly. They were happy to put things where we asked them to even if it meant carrying heavy things up or down 13 stairs. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing assistance with a move. we did find some damaged items from when they loaded the POD the first time. they did not remove the shelves in the fridge and several were damaged. they also put a heavy item on a table that has tile inlaid and one of the tiles got broken so that we will have to replace the table, the tile cannot be fixed. My suggestion would be to watch them carefully as they load and make sure nothing is in danger.

The guys were nice and polite, they worked very hard especially Brison: Jack not so much. The workers were not prepared for the job, they did not have the basic equipment to complete the job such as a dolly, straps or wall bumpers or pads to protect the wood floors. They did not arrive on time but called to say they were on the way and stuck in traffic, which was not a problem. They were very green in experience for the type of job we had. We had a 28 foot trailer with 250 boxes and desk and 3 beds with 2 dressers, couch set etc. I did put that in my job needed description. They thought it was just to move a few items, so somewhere the communication was not correct for the workers to know what the job was. It took much longer than it should have due to lack of experience and equipment. It took longer to unload than the great team of packers who wrapped our furniture and packed it, really???? I would not use them again. I did call the Hire a Helper when they arrived with no equipment, and their surprise at the size of the job. We had to go rent a dolly for them at U-Haul on New Year's Eve morning and I had to go to 3 places to find one open. We paid for 6 hours to unload and it should have been 2-3 with a quality team. I would not use them again. I do think it is the job of the Big Boy Movers to train their workers it is a job that takes skill to do well.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.
What types of moves have you handled?
After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.
What training do you provide your crew members?
The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
