Big Boy movers is not a company I would employ again. I hired 2 workers for 2 hours and ony one person showed up for the move. The second person did arrive 10 minutes prior to the completion of the scheduled 2 hours.
Big Boy movers then charged the full amount for 2 movers despite the fact that I paid for 2 people. Big Boy Movers need to re-evaluate their business ethincs!

The 2 young men that came out from Big Boy Movers did a awesome job. They came early worked hard put things where and how I asked them to. I can't recommend them enough, they were nice gentlemen clean catted about our things, honest,I can't say enough nice things. The price was more than fare. We just moved from Minnesota so we knew nobody and took AC chance with hire a helper and I am very satisfied, thank you so much!

they showed up on time, they were respectful and very nice BUT they just didn't work that hard. We had them for a 2 hour minimum so we would pay the same if they worked 1 hour or 2 and based on past moves I thought they could easily load everything in less than an hour but we had to help carry things out ourselves and supervise them to get everything barely loaded in the two hour time. On one occasion I watched them both carried one 1x6 bedrail about 7 feet long that weighed less than 10 pounds. I carried the other rail in one hand plus the middle support by myself out to the truck. I rarely give negative feedback, I just don't like to do it but I was disappointed and it took time away from other things we were trying to do at that time.

The movers were great! They were respectful, careful, and friendly. They arrived a little early and worked hard! We had lots of really heavy furniture and both houses had stairs and they worked non-stop, getting the job done in less time than we had actually figured. I would definitely use their services again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.
What types of moves have you handled?
After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.
What training do you provide your crew members?
The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
