We are careful who we send into your home, around your family and to handle your property, we offer background checked helpers, checked through Hireahelper. INSURANCE through Hireahelper covers goods while being handled by our helpers up to $.60 per pound (policy must be activated by completing an inventory form). Full coverage insurance also available through Hireahelper. We'll never leave you stranded! If late we'll send extra helpers to make up time at no cost when possible. These guys were great! They arrived late, but they kept me updated about their time of arrival. The guys were super nice, worked hard and did a great job.
The crew got there later than we anticipated due to subway delays but still well within the one hour window of arrival, while not up to our usual high standards of early arrival they were not actually late in that instance.

Tyrrell, the mover from Promove, arrived promptly, and worked hard to help me complete my move in less than the two hours I anticipated. In fact, I mistakenly thought I had booked two helpers, so was a bit dismayed to see only one, but he did the work of two men, carefully and methodically and without any grumbling (that all came from me!), and we raced through the project without incident. I hate moving more than practically anything else in life, but Tyrrell made the experience as painless as possible. I would welcome his help next time I have to move anything.

Promove was awesome! I hired two movers and they were right on time, they were prepared with a handcart for my truck. Professional and thought out the moving of the large items so that nothing was damaged. I would recommend them to anyone I know moving in the NYC area.

The movers were on time, had a positive attitude, and were very cooperative. They took good care of my belongings. Some items required a little creativity with getting them into or out of the apartment and I was not sure how much experience they had with this.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Your move date is set! Contact for details and any necessary instructions
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always show up! On time arrival within the first 20 minutes of the one hour window, with an experienced, professional and courteous crew.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have items packed and ready to go (large boxes not too heavy please), furniture blankets to protect your stuff, appropriate size truck for the move. Then wooosah! we got you, you're things are in capable hands.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, Long distance, Office, Commercial, Specialty moves (larger & fragile medical equipment).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
No gym membership needed, we get paid to exercise. Our worksite is different everyday & we interact with new people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Two weeks of moving technique (lifting, turning, angles), teamwork, pacing, basic disassembly/reassembly and materials handling as well as customer service is our basic training. Then more experienced movers ( Courtney, Eric, Yusef, Azar, Ken) have advanced training for loading moving vans.
