This company did not have internet confirmation or access or working voicemail aka the mailbox is full. This made it hard to stay in touch with the company when coordinating arrival times. I was originally scheduled for 10-11 am arrival. When I got in touch with owner at 2am, we were to have an earlier start time of 8 am. Needless to say the movers showed up with traffic and delays at 11:15am. The work was good. I had better experience with internet way of keeping track. BTW I never got the email confirmation to release the payment from Hirer a Helper either. This was the one of the best features with the people packing from the initial location.

They were nice guys, however, they scuffed the walls everywhere. One of them spend 10 minutes on the phone while the rest of us did the moving. I paid for 2 hours but got in done in an hour since we didn't want any more damage done to the walls
for any damages we caused I informed you and your Husband that your town home had very tight hallways and also tight turns which is the reason we refused to take the huge bookcase up to the third floor. There was no space to work but you insisted and that is where the scuffs came from, We are professional movers sir it is our goal to do everything safely and without damages.

I hired Family Movers to help me pack a few closets and a portion of my large book collection in preparation for a move. They arrived on time and worked quickly. However, they did not properly secure the boxes (I discovered this much later as the boxes were stacked and the problem was not readily visable) and the majority of them had to be re-taped. The two men doing the job were pleasant and asked if I had hired anyone yet for my upcoming move. Through my conversation with them I booked Family Movers to move me from my apartment into a condo and secured a move date. The night before the scheduled move date I texted the company to verify the events for the morning. I received a reply stating that they were not able to honor the start time we scheduled. I received a follow-up text many hours later providing a start time in the very late afternoon -- a time when the use of the freight elevator for the condo was not allowed. I tried to contact them and was never successful in getting someone on the phone. No one ever showed up to move me. No one ever apologized or provided an explanation as to why they didn't honor their commitment. Needless to say, because Family Movers did not perform the service they agreed to it cost me money, time, frustration and headaches, just to mention a few things.

They called me like I requested to let me know they were on their way. I requested 2 helpers and 4 ended up showing up - which was great because I didn't realize how much stuff I needed moved. And they did not charge me extra for the extra helpers, which was also great.
They came uniformed like their ad said. They introduced themselves and were polite to my boyfriend and me. They wrapped many of the larger items (dressers, desks, tables) in packing pads and plastic wrap to prevent dings during the move (I provided plastic & pads). They worked hard and loaded the truck well so my items did not move around much during the 4 hour drive to NJ. They worked efficiently and took very, very minimal water/rest breaks in their 2 hours of work. They were very respectful of my stuff and I could not have made the move without them. Definitely worth the money and I would absolutely recommend them to a friend.

David and Ryan did a great job! We were actually late getting our truck to the new apartment, and they were very accommodating with our schedule. When they arrived, they got right to work, and I was impressed with how quickly two men could move all our stuff in by themselves. They managed to move some pretty large and heavy furniture up a flight of tight stairs and into a small apartment. They were polite, fast, and careful with our things. I would definitely use them again.
