I was told by Hire a helper that if they stay later than 2 hrs it would cost me 70 more per hr . they couldn't stay because they have other obligations which I was not notified. also they couldn't come at 1 o'clock which i requested they showed up after 4 they couldn't come sooner hiring a helper should know their availability. I noticed one guy showed up earlier the second guy appeared yesterday to be new showed up latervtso if one guy can help he won't till guy 2 is present . The first guy instructed the second guy and they wasted time talking about bull**** within the company not the job Verry unprofessional. Tomorrow I have to pay Another 260+70 an hour for them to help me finish what they started yesterday and couldn't finish today I would not recommend Hiring a helper financially because they do not offer what they say . The cost adds up and the movers could've accomplished in one day unloading 2 pods if they would've been able to stay focused and not discussing shop talk kidding around. I would not have these guys as my employees also they spoke badly about hiring a helper as misrepresenting their services. False advertising. for that $70 an hour extra to put in our case they left with the job unfinished to go to another job because hire help her fallsly advertises there are services . We have three pods we unloaded one and part of two we inloaded not much on the other two others they had two hours but couldn't stay longer I was upset because I loaded and moved Stuff I paid them to do but they should be handled my hips hurt my back hurts and I had to clean up their mess. I only have them coming tomorrow because I need help to finish but the price should be 70 an hr not 260 + 70 per hour because we only needed 1 hrbof exyra help the price is not cool or fair. It is a poor reflection on both companies wouldn't use them again service in California was cheaper and truthful.

I was overcharged. The men arrived at 8:03 AM and left at 11:15 I was charged for a full hour. That is wrong. The movers were oK but the charges were wrong will not use again

Overpriced and not reliable. Made reservation for move the evening before. I realized that this was short notice but the site accepted my reservation and said Big Boy Movers would be at my site between 10 and 11 AM. At 8:30 on the day of the move Big Boy Movers called and said they could not make that time and wanted me to change my load time to 3:30 PM. I told them that this time would not work for me or my U haul rental reservation. They said that they would cancel my reservation. Again, I accept that this was a late reservation for the next morning, and they were going to charge me a premium price for this small move of less then 10 miles. They should not accept reservations if they can't honor them. Not a chance that I will use this service again.

Did not use straps as directed to secure my belongings, one guy was rude and for the price I had higher expectations. I would not recommend them. They did not have any tools for disconnecting the washing machine.

Our movers called ahead and arrived on time on moving day. We were so grateful to have help with unloading our stuff into our second story apartment! They even helped reassemble our bed frame. Would definitely recommend!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.
What types of moves have you handled?
After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.
What training do you provide your crew members?
The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
