M. B. G. S. was a fantastic moving crew and I would highly recommend them. They arrived right on time and were so efficient in the way that they packed up all my belongings. Very professional. I’m temporarily storing some of my belongings in two different places as I transition to a new place and they were very accommodating to help me move to two different places. Excellent work.

Had 3 movers unload my 26' Penske truck. Extremely efficient, worked very fast. If you're moving in the Phoenix area, loading or unloading a truck, hire these guys. I will be recommending Greg to anyone who asks me.

They were 30 minutes earlier than scheduled which could be good or bad… bad for me because I was running around trying to be organized. There were 3 guys, the 2 that were inside carrying stuff out were good, worked hard, very friendly, asked questions to double check things. The third guy…. Was awful. Unfortunately he’s the one who was loading my belongings into my POD. I wasn’t able to check on him as much as I should have and am regretting it big time. He didn’t use any rope to secure things every so often as PODS recommended and when I asked about it he said “I’ve been doing this for 10 years I know what I’m doing. I’ve got it packed so nothing can move.” I made a suggestion about where to put large and heavy full length mirror because when I moved it two years ago it worked well… but I got attitude in return. At the end of it I had so much stuff that wasn’t going to fit. I used the same 16’ container two years ago on my move and it all fit… I even got rid of a bunch of large awkward items before this move. There was no reason for this much stuff not fitting.
After they left I took out about a quarter of the POD and re-loaded it myself. In just that short time he managed to damage 5 wooden dining chairs because of the way he stacked them and shoved them in. There was so much wasted space where things could be rearranged to fit more in… which I was able to do. There were so many things done wrong - a wicker chest that doesn’t even latch closed was on its side on a wooden handle with heavy boxes on top, a taller box with light trees in it was under multiple heavy boxes and was already smashing in, my mattress was almost bent in half over a coffee table… and this was only in the first quarter of container! I’m so afraid to see how my belongings fare after the cross country move and storage. When I called to complain about the way things were arranged, my damaged chairs, and the incredibly rude guy, I was told he would look into it and get back to me. A little while later the rude guy actually called and yelled at me.
I could go on and on about this horrible experience that cost me over $500 for 2 hours but I’ve written enough. In all my years of moving (I’ve moved a LOT) I’ve never wrapped anything, just covered with blankets when in the container and I’ve never damaged a thing! Maybe a scratch but not chunks of wood out of chairs. The two times in my life I’ve hired help, I’ve basically paid people to ruin my things. Lesson learned.

Hi Christa, We regret that you feel disappointed in the job, we did for you. I have viewed the Service invoice, and the photos taken of the items, that were loaded. I see that there were not any moving blankets, provided to the crew, that you were suppose to provide. I call every customer, before accepting any job request, to go over the move details, to make sure every job is prepared so the move, and the service is great. As I do with every customer, I went over all the materials you would need to provide, for us to give a great level of service. There is only one person, assigned to the loading, and the crews all have there part to do on on each job. Loading requires a skill level, that not everyone has. Your loader has years of experience, and that is all he was trying to relay, in his comment to you, about how long he has been loading. Again, the biggest problem I see in the photos, is the crew was not provided moving blankets to protect the furniture, which is very likely to cause damage. I went over the importance of providing the padding, shrink wrap, and rope, to assure a great move. If we do not have them for us to use, for the job, we can only do what we can to load for damage control, the best we can.

- left their personal trash items (soda cups, gatorade, etc)
- over all efficient and hauled ass

I have spoke to them, and they regret, that they got in a hurry at the end of their day. They were tired. It was a a bigger job than they are used to doing, with 2 people. However it was done in the 3 hours booked. Thanks for the honest review. We take the reviews seriously, and retrain when necessary.

They were great! The previsit call helped clarify what supplies were needed for them to pack well. They showed up on time, were very professional and efficient. I could tell they were very experienced. They also were willing to adjust the packing based on my concerns. The only issue was packing glass furniture tops. One of the four tops arrive at the destination cracked.

It should have been packed in a box, we usually don't move the dresser with the glass top left on them. When I spoke to you before the move, you had mentioned, that you have moved them like that before, and they were fine. What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Introductory phone call from the crew 30 minutes before arrival -A crew that arrives on-time, ready to assist on your move -Uniformed crew members -tools, door jam protector and rug runner as well as a carton dolly and a furniture dolly. Basic hand tools for basic assemble/disassemble, that may be needed to move some items. -a walkthrough of your home with the crew to discuss your goals for the move.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

-Please utilize the many years of experience of our service reps to assist with any questions you have leading up o your move -If you are loading, you will want to make sure you have all the right supplies to ensure a safe move. Our reps can help with your planning, but some of the things you might need are furniture blankets, rope, straps, mattress bags, tape and boxes Please make sure you label the side of all boxes for your new home. -If you are unloading, you might want to try to secure a packing.
