I paid for two helpers for two hours, they left after one hour. They were three of them but that was their choice, I should have still gotten two hours worth of work.
They were all fairly young and the lead guy, Johnathan, was not very nice to one of the helpers. I’m not sure if they got was new but dang, give the hot a break. The lead should never talk down to someone in front if a customer abs he did it the entire time.
They also seemed very rushed. I had two pieces of furniture damaged during the move. One was a file cabinet I got for free but that should not matter. I know that they had another appointment because they told me they had to go pick up the truck.
I also know they finished the other appointment in under two hours because they were dropping off the truck when I turned mine in after having to load it myself.
If I pay for two hours, I should get the full two hours, I barely got one.

I reserved the moving service with hire a helper and the nightmare started. There was no one person to speak to. Every time I called, it was someone new and the same music. POG mover was supposed to start the move between 12 and 2 on 9/1. Got a message that they were running late. after about 10 tries to Hire a helper and POG, found out that no one was coming and my move has been cancelled. Waited all day and talked to a number of different people but no one had any information on what was going on.
Hire a Helper is the most disorganized and the most unresponsive organization with no discipline whatsoever. Do not waste your time dealing with them.

Arrival time was between 7-8am. They called to say they would be about an hour late which was fine with us. Upon arrival to the house, they quickly unassembled the furniture and loaded it into the truck. Everything that was needed for the move they had. Drove to the new house, unloaded everything but stated due to company policy they could not reassemble the beds, which was fine with us. Placed the furniture in the appropriate rooms and exactly where we told them to place it. Extremely respectful, kind and friendly. Will definitely use POGS again and would request the same crew, they were great!

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
your move team contacts you 30-40 minutes prior to arrival. Time starts upon arrival- not before. Your Team lead is an expiernced mover and your move team is a vetted and trained moving team
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Boxes, boxes and more boxes. Have your items ready for load. Larger items and furniture we will manage when on site
What types of moves have you handled?
From next door to the house around the block to interstate moves to each of the 48 contiguous states & Cananda. Then somewhere in between too,
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The customers, every day iis new and different. getting to know someone even under the most stressful of times and having a commonality during this time

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
Refunding Unused Time
We refund up to one unused hour over our min..

We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
