I hired Mile High Movers to unload my truck of household items into a 10x20 storage unit. Movers texted at 2:34pm and confirmed they would be there by 3pm. When they weren't, I called at approx. 3:10pm and was told they were 5 minutes away. After another 10 minutes, I called again to find out where they were and talked to Nick. He said that he was on another job 2 hours away and couldn't really help me now. I kept trying to call the number of the actual driver/movers and they didn't answer so I left frantic voicemail messages. At 3:51pm I receive a text that they were on their way again, then at 3:53pm said, "I'm so sorry, it's so hard to find dependable help up here". Like I needed to hear that? So here we've been standing out in 100 degree heat in Sparks, Nevada waiting and the original guys who called me never showed up. Other movers were contacted at the last minute. Unloading should not have taken very long. They clearly were inexperienced, unprepared and did not seem to know how to load up a storage unit so all items would fit. I pointed out how things were packed into the truck and that that is how it needed to be packed into the storage unit. I said this several times. I had a 24' truck which was only half full (so it was about 12'). My items should all have fit into a 10x20 storage unit. They were just dropping things in the unit at random, not thinking it out. I had to keep moving things myself. They brought in the mattress but forgot about the box spring. That ended up being thrown up on top of other stuff!! They were just dropping items on the ground instead of utilizing the full space. This had taken over 2 hours and at that time I blew a gasket. I have never ever lost my temper like I did here, I was so clearly frustrated with these guys and their lack of experience. There were still boxes and furniture sitting on the hot pavement and I found metal items thrown up on top of furniture in the unit! At the end, There was no room to put the remaining bins and I had to bring about 25 bins back to the house where I am renting a room and put in the garage. I have to hire another service to remove, then repack all items in the storage unit so everything will fit! The movers also stopped many times during the two hours. One of them didn't even equip himself with water and it was 100 degrees outside!! We went and bought them some gatorade (which they didn't pay for) The other guy disappeared about 4 times and then just left the job after I got mad because he didn't know what he was doing in the storage unit. He was a nice guy but it was obvious he had not loaded a storage unit before. The other informed us that He was called at the last minute because of the failure of the other guys to show up. Their lack of experience put me in a total bind. We sat there terrified they were going to drop my china buffet because of the unstable way they were putting it on a hand-truck and a dolly and sliding it down the ramp! They had no straps for these heavy items. I don't know if there is damage to my furniture or not because they were dragging the heavy items along the concrete floors. Mile High Movers was clearly disorganized and lacking in communication. They never should have confirmed via text arrival at 3pm. They should hire and assign workers who are EXPERIENCED! I wasn't able to get the truck back in time that night and had to turn it in next day for additional fee. I know I am rambling, but I'm still so angry. This was the worst moving experience ever and I would not recommend Mile High Movers....ever...to anyone. It's hard now to believe the good reviews I read about them on the site. I have no grievance whatsoever with Hire-a-Helper Services. They do an awesome job and reimbursed me for half of the price. DO NOT HIRE MILE HIGH MOVERS!!

Mike High movers did a great job. They called the day of the move and showed up early. The were efficient and careful and did a great job packing the POD's. I would recommend them to anyone.

Two young men were polite, courteous, well groomed, and pleasant. They worked hard, were careful with my home and belongings. The service is not cheap, but I'd return nonetheless, especially if I could get the two same workers again!
