After 7 years in business, our goal at Helpful Movers has always been to make your move as stress free as it can be, all of our crews are courteous, polite, and helpful with anything needing to be done. We always treat your items with the utmost care just like they were our own. We disassemble/reassemble furniture except reassembly of cribs and bunkbeds due to safety. We cover anywhere from Seattle to Olympia to Bremerton. We offer out of state moves and we can also supply a company truck for in state moves if needed, please call for pricing. Booking with us ensures your move will be smooth and seamless.

They left two items in the pod and a white plastic box full of personal papers were left on the table in the first floor vestibule that they didn’t bring up or remind me of when i left it on the table to help keep open the elevator door for one of the movers. It also took them an extra hour to move the items from the truck, but I understand they were taking the elevator up to my third floor apartment each time they were unloading boxes. I placed a call to the office about my box of personal papers that is missing and never brought up to jog their memory about it but have not yet received a return call.

Two young men showed up who thought they were unloading a small UHaul Trailer. It was pouring down rain and they off loaded cardboard boxes into the street and puddles instead of bringing them into the house. They tried to cancel the job and say they would come back another time, although they were booked solid the next day. We were very clear with the company on the type of trailer, the size of the trailer and asked how many people we would need and for how long. We were reassured that 2 men for 2 - 2.5 hours was plenty. It was obviously wrong. When trying to get more time or more people (we called in a week earlier requesting an additional 3rd person) we were told that they would send someone when another job was done, however, they didnt know when that would be. They would only let the 2 guys here stay an additional hour. They refused to find any additional help and when pressed about sending those additional person(s) they admitted that the end of their working day would prohibit them from coming. We felt completely unimportant and more of a burden than a customer. We contacted Moving.com and hired 2 additional workers for the next morning at a cheaper price and were amazingly impressed at their help. Night and day for sure. With incidents on both ends, both Hire a Helper's lack of proper communication to the contracted company and then the companies lack of attention and importance to us as a customer, we will not recommend Hire A Helper nor will we EVER use Hire a Helper again.

Jenni, I'm sorry for whatever reason you felt that we did something wrong on your move. When we showed up you had a 28ft abf trailer and the bulkhead door was stuck shut, unfortunately this is not something that we usually are responsible for dealing with since the driver of your trailer was supposed to release it before they left the trailer there. Due to the poor loading job done on the first part of your move everything had fallen and was very disorganized. We did our very best to get things unloaded and directly brought into your house. As for how long you were told it would take to unload, our company never gave any set amount of time. I personally spoke with you about us trying to get more people up to assist with your unload but you were told that all of our crews were already on jobs and we would see if we could get them up there. We did our best but all of our crews were still on jobs and we couldn't get up there. I spoke with your husband early enough on and gave him the ways he could get other movers out as directed by HireAHelper. We spoke with both you and your husband several times in the 3hr time we were at your unload so I'm unclear of how you saw that as a lack of attention or importance? You booked us for 2hrs and even though your crew had another job after yours we still kept them there trying to get as much done as we could for an additional hour. I'm not sure what more we could of done to make things better but I'm glad you got everything else moved in.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We will give you a call as soon as possible to get all of the details for your move confirmed and also go through your move with you to discuss any additional information that may happen for your move. Also we will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your move.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Once we arrive onsite we will do a brief walk through and then we will get started by prepping any furniture for loading and proceed to loading your Pod, Truck or Trailer.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

The best way to prepare for your move is always organization, having walkways cleared for the movers so as not to trip over anything. If we are unloading a great time saver is to take post it notes label each room #1,#2 etc then as we are bring boxes in you can say that goes to room # this makes it much easier for you and saves you time and money!

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled every move there is, we do in-state, residential, commercial, industrial, out of state, in home, remodels, we also do staging as well!

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

By far we love doing everything we can to take the stress out of your move, we know moving is a very stressful thing to do, so we want to do everything we can to make whatever part we are taking in it to be stress free.

What training do you provide your crew members?

All of our employees go through training on jobs as an extra crew member to learn everything they need to know before being sent out. It is imperative that they learn how to handle your belongings properly before they are put on as a full time member of our company.

We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
