These guys were amazing!!! There is no way we would have been able to move our furniture up to the third floor without them. They were very friendly and packed our truck as true professionals.

The workers were on time and respectful enough.
When they arrived there was a potent smell of marijuana and it was obvious they were inebriated.
When filling out the online portal we listed that we had a gun safe and a large deep freezer. Upon arrival the first thing we did was a walk through of the house and the first first item was our gun safe.
They nodded their heads. 1/2 way through the allotted time I asked them where they were planning on putting the safe. That was when they let me know that I would have to call their boss about that because, "They didn't know about the safe." Long story short I ended up paying an extra $110 and provide our own dolly to move it because the company claimed we didn't disclose the gun safe.
They were good muscle and moved our heavy stuff. They worked the entire time they were here. They was no standing around and I appreciated that.
They did break a leg off my great-grandmother's hope chest right in front of me by not being careful enough.
They did not use the space in the moving pods well and I had to unpack 1/3 of one of the pods and re-pack it after they left so we could get all our goods to fit.
Overall I would not be excited to hire these guys again.

The guys I had were pretty good and worked fast, were on time, communicated well when they were on the way, and all of that. And after they left I may have even left a 5-star review, but a follow-up phone call about an hour later left a bad taste in my mouth.

I paid for 3 guys for 2 hours, and I didn’t have a lot to move quantity-wise, but it was the heavier items which is why I paid for the help. I had a king bed set with and adjustable base, a queen/twin bunk bed set, three dressers, a standing office desk, a 5-foot dining room table (where the top has hinges to fold up to make it narrower). Also, because I was in an apartment complex (lived on the 4th floor) and moving my stuff to a POD in the parking lot, the only space our property would let us put the POD was about 500 feet of walking from door to door. But everything was packed, everything was narrow enough to easily fit through doorways and hallways and into the elevators, everything was something that could be put on a furniture dolly, hand truck, etc., and it would just be a longer way to roll the carts than the normal situation.

I stayed down at the POD to actually arrange the items as the guys brought them, and labeled the items where I staged them in my apt in the order I wished for them to come down. Numbers 1 and 2 came down and while the movers went back up I saw that the property maintenance guys were driving around on their golf carts starting their day of taking out trash, doing landscaping and stuff. A few minutes later, I see my queen mattress on top of one of the golf carts as the maintenance guy wanted to help the movers. I told him that it was nice of him to do that, but that I was paying the guys for the service too. Then item 6 came down, followed by item 8, and so it made it a bit more challenging than I had planned to make sure everything went in right, but it wasn’t that big of a deal that things came down out of order. I was also surprised the guys were carrying so many of the different items in their arms/hands, and not utilizing the equipment they brought, but I wasn’t going to tell them how to do their job (even though I had done similar work back in college).

The final piece was the office desk, and it got delivered with one of the guys holding it steady on the back of the maintenance golf cart. Overall, the items and my apartment looked damage free, and everything got down to the POD in probably 70 minutes or so. I thanked the guys for their work, finalized everything and tipped them in the app/website, and we went our separate ways.

About an hour later, I get a call asking how it went, and the person told me that the guys felt that the situation was abnormal and that they wanted to add a stair fee and, along with the long walking distance, they wanted to ask if I’d be able to pay an extra $150 on top of the $550 I already paid. I mentioned what I listed earlier in the review of the longer distance/everything could be rolled/etc., but more specifically pushed back on the stair fee, because there were no stairs. There weren’t even curbs if you went the 45 feet down the sidewalk to the ramp instead of coming straight toward the POD from the door. The guy on the phone said the movers mentioned the stairs and I said I stayed down at the POD and can’t guarantee that they didn’t use the stairs, but they definitely didn’t need to use the stairs because there was a convenient elevator to be used. But maybe they didn’t use the elevator in the similar way that they didn’t use the hand trucks/dollies as much as I had thought they would.

So I told the guy that I didn’t feel paying anything additional was appropriate, because I had paid for 2 hours and only used about 1.25, they subcontracted some of the maintenance guys to help for free, and their choice to use/not use the elevator or equipment was their decision.

Thankfully, the guy on the phone didn’t pressure me or require me to pay the extra fee, but it just didn’t sit right with me that it was something that they tried to add after the fact. If they had brought up those concerns at the beginning when I showed them where everything was in regards to the POD, my apt, the items, etc., then I may have been more open to a discussion.
