Do not hire these movers! They are ripoff artists and extremely unprofessional. We contracted with them thru HireAHelper to load our rental truck for transport out of state. These movers arrived without paperwork, the moving tape we had requested and complaining that they'd had to drive from their home and wouldn't make any money on this deal. They wanted us to pay them in cash for any additional time and began lobbying for that - and for Cokes and Gatorade - from the moment they arrived. We were delayed getting started as they failed to bring the moving tape we had requested to secure plastic wrap on the furniture. So we ran to the store to buy the tape and they waited. A half-hour lost. When we approached the three-hour mark - the amount of time we had contracted with them to do the job - they stopped working and stood around talking and smoking cigarettes in the driveway. We asked how much longer it would take - ten minutes, they said. So we agreed to pay them fifty dollars cash to finish the job so we could get on the road. Instead, they hung around another hour-plus and my husband and brother had to get involved in moving things to get this job finished. These guys then reported to HireAHelper that they had worked over five hours. They had not. We ended up paying for four hours - because they had us over a barrel. Do not agree to pay cash on-site and if you are paying hourly, make sure you have it in writing when the job is complete. Terrible, terrible experience. We have used other local movers in other states and been so pleased. They bring runners to cover your floors and rugs and work so hard you are delighted to provide drinks and lunch to thank them. Not these guys. Slackers and con-men.

The movers showed up on time ready to work. After introducing themselves, they quickly planned & organized how to execute the move. They were sure to be safe & ensured there was no damage to the inventory or the properties they moved us out of & into. They knew what they were doing & did it well. Love the fact that they respected my time, money & trust. Would I use these guys again? DEFINITELY!!!

The two guys that moved me showed up twenty minutes late, even after Jay L called the night before to say they would get their early. Both of the guys helping me we very courteous. They did a fair job moving, but were a lot slower than I expected. We were only moving from one apartment to another around the corner in the same complex, and I noticed they didn't always make efficient use on each run. They really didn't use much teamwork, but relied on hand trucks and furniture carts, rather than saving time and having both just grab the furniture and move it. For the price I was paying, I expected professionals but got amatures. Again, the were nice guys, but if they were out if my site, they were talking on cell phones, standing around, or doing a task that didnt require muscle, even after I told them only to focus on the heavy stuff.
They did manage to move all of my furniture without destroying it or the walls. With more practice and direction, these two guys could be great movers. I just don't want to pay for on the job training.
They did get all the heavy stuff moved, which was the most important part of the job, but I was hoping to have more if the smaller stuff done as well. So now I'm spending all of my Sunday finishing the job.
On the bright side, thanks to Jay L, I'm getting some much needed exercise.

I would highly recommend using Jay for your move - he was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process.
Jay called to confirm the move within minutes of scheduling with HireAHelper and checked in throughout the day to make sure our cross-state drive with the moving truck was going as planned.
He arrived early and jumped in as soon as we pulled the truck in. He was highly efficient, worked very hard for the entire time we has contracted for, and was extremely careful with all of our items.
I will definitely recommend Jay to friends and will be happy to use his service in the future.
