The 3 men were respectful and strong. They worked hard and were doing their best to miss wall corners and not damage the house and items moved. Overall they did a good job and were efficient.
We did have one problem: my husband saw one man begin to lift a 2 tiered glass topped coffee table by himself while inside the truck. My husband told the man he should get a second helper, but the man moved it alone anyway. My husband later found the glass shelf to the coffee table separate from the rest and badly scratched (not broken though). Unfortunately, the mover said nothing to us about the incident and I did not observe the damage until later that day.
The workers were on time. The job was "unload only". They were not prepared to protect our carpet but did provide a wet mat for the hall on request. Two of the men were college students. I'd prefer to use people who have more experience.

The guys fantastic! The called on the way , showed up on time . Very professional. Took good care of wrapping & protecting our furniture while loading on the Pod. I definitely would recommend these guys, they we're in constant communication with me and coordinated their arrival with the arrival of the PODS Container. They arrived as promised and we're quite the efficient and speedy hard working little worker bees... Not a thing was damaged by them, though there was some damage to a couple of things that occurred during the transport of the PODS Container, items apparently shifted after it was loaded on the California end of things.
I give Iowa Moving 5 Star's! ?????

We hired 2 guys for 4 hours to load our 3 bedroom house into a 26’ truck. They arrived toward the end of the arrival window or shortly after due to a road closure in our area, which was not really an issue for us as they kept us informed over the phone. They ended up sending 3 guys and they finished in about 2 1/2 hours. The issues we had with their service were that they didn’t seem to handle our things with enough care when loading and didn’t pack things in a way to avoid damage to our furniture. It was raining the day we moved and they left our belongings out in the rain after they carried them out of our house and placed them in front of our garage instead of setting them inside the open garage doors to protect them. I can understand things getting wet as they are being carried out, but to leave them out deliberately to continue to get rained on seems negligent to me. This included chairs from our solid wood dining set, our sons jumper, etc. Both my husband and I also asked them to wrap our furniture with the furniture pads (I rented 5 dozen) and the plastic wrap I purchased for them to use and they mostly just draped the furniture pads over some of the pieces and then left others completely uncovered to rub against other items and/or the floor of the truck. There were several unused ones leftover at the end and almost all of the plastic wrap left, so it wasn’t a supply issue. Most of our furniture has dings and marks on it where the the finish has been worn away from this. For how much we paid (~$560 total) and the fact that they left an hour and a half early, I wish they would have slowed down and taken the time to do things right. I’ve only found one broken plate so far, but we’ll see how many other things are broken amongst our smaller possessions as well, since all of our fragile items weren’t placed in the front portion of the truck up top like they were supposed to and instead were mixed amongst and stacked underneath everything else in the main portion of the truck. I would not use them again or recommend them for anyone looking to move. I had a lot of hope based on the reviews I read here but am overall disappointed with the service we received. Had I known how great our unloading crew was (J & N Movers - Illinois) and that they can work outside their radius for a little extra, I would have booked them for the loading portion as well. They were cheaper than Iowa Moving 1 so it probably wouldn’t have really cost more in the end and they would have done a much better job based on our experience unloading with them where they tried to fix the mistakes our loading crew made as best as they could.

Both gentlemen were extremely friendly, very helpful, and fast. I couldn't be more pleased. Also, absolutely no damage occurred during the move into my new place.
They were on time, they were very prepared with the proper moving equipment, and worked very hard. I would certainly use them and your company again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After you book with us, you should expect an introduction call from our office staff to go into further detail about your moving situation and to answer any pre-move questions that you may have. We enjoy working with our customers and look forward to assisting them in whatever way that we can.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our moving crew will call you when they are on the way to the customer's job site and we pride ourselves on arriving on-time. Once our crew arrives at the customer's residence, the movers will do a walk-through to analyze the items that need moved and to answer any further questions that the customer may have. After that, our movers will get right to work on getting you moved as safely and efficiently as possible.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
We recommend that customers have all boxes packed and sealed before our movers arrive (unless you have hired our company for a packing service). Please ensure that there are clear walk ways within the residence. We ask that all dresser drawers be emptied prior to moving. To save time and money , customers can also have beds disassembled and mirrors removed from dressers ahead of time, if possible.

We handle residential and office moves. We can help pack, load and/or unload your moving rental truck, trailer or portable storage container. We also provide in-house furniture moves.
