They did the job like it is their home and did everything so carefully.

William was awesome, hard working, no wasted time lots of great advice. Really good at packing a truck. They were courteous and professional, however the second helper, the boss, never contacted me prior to the move as advertised despite leaving a voicemail and contacting Hire a Helper to follow up and spent a lot of time on the phone during the move. They stayed an extra 30 minutes.

They were on time and were very polite and helpful. They were better at loading the truck than my husband was. Both helpers were respectful of my sons property. Would definitely hire again if needed

Pros: good workers, arrived late but got right to work.
Cons: Because they arrived late and the truck was due back. We started unloading and got through the complete truck except for 7 pieces of furniture before they arrived.
Since I had planned on 3 workers for 4 hours, the owner charged me for the FULL AMOUNT, instead of the 30 minutes they were here. Even after I offered to pay for 2 hours of work.
DO NOT OVER PLAN FOR AMERICAN MOVING LABOR. IN FACT REQUEST THEM FOR LESS TIME THAN NEEDED.
There's a lack of integrity when you get charged for 4 hours when the work done was only 30 minutes.

Although they were 45 minutes late, they more than made up for it by bringing 2 additional helpers at no charge to complete the move within the time allotted - hence the 5 stars vs 4. They worked hard, were professional, and are definitely experienced. They unloaded a 20' Uhaul that was packed into a 10x20 storage space that already had stuff in it that we had put in ourselves (read taking up more space than needed). They were still able to stack everything on the truck into the unit. Very impressive! I would definitely use them again and therefore highly recommend American Moving.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Valuables and breakables should never be left in drawers, pack boxes full and try to keep heavier items in smaller boxes and lighter items in large boxes this will greatly minimize box crushing (smaller boxes have stronger side walls) our crews are trained to wrap and load youre items on moving day in a speedy manner but it is always a help if items are wrapped if the customer is looking to save a little time

My favorite thing about being a mover is meeting new people and knowing no matter how large or small the job may be we are somehow helping people go forward in life

We train our crew members in all areas of moving day from proper wrapping and loading techniques to throwing you're stuff out the window no just kidding we do however simply make moving day as care free as possible for the customer
