I am very pleased with the whole experience of hiring Midnight Hour Moving through Hire A Helper. I had several pieces of large furniture that needed to be moved in preparation for work to be done in my home. The employees who arrived were great - they were quick, efficient, very respectful of my home and furniture. I would absolutely use them again!

The two guys unloaded the truck to the third floor apartment in about 45 minutes so they offered to put together the dining room table and chairs in the time remaining on our two hour minimum. They didn't have to make this offer, we would have just let them go early and paid for the two hours. I don't have their names, but they were extremely pleasant and helpful and we would recommend them again to anyone. I received a call that they would be there at 1:45 and they showed up at 1:45 on the button, they worked efficiently and were respectful of our property and our wishes. We will use Midnight Hour Moving again.

We were very pleased. They showed up on time, and they did a great job. They didn't waste any time, and worked quickly and steadily. We had 2 pods that had to be loaded, and they packed them expertly to maximize the amount they would hold and to make sure everything was loaded securely. I would definite use them again.

Hired Midnight Hour Moving to unload a full 16 ft. Packrat Container from California They called the morning of the scheduled workday to let me know they were on their way and gave me a window in which to expect them. They arrived within the allotted time frame and got to work right away and finished within the 2 hour scheduled hire, which included moving and hooking up the waterline to the refrigerator and carrying in an upright piano. They placed furniture and boxes where instructed or asked.
They were very courteous and efficient and I would definitely use them again, although I hope that it another 30 years before I have to move again.

One can never be 100% certain movers will show up... The entire process is always a bit nerve racking when you've got so many different people and destinations lined up on a tight schedule for a cross country move. So when I scheduled 2 hours and was told "Between 11am and 1pm" - I took that as the time they were scheduled to help me. I received no confirmation call the day before or since I originally scheduled 10 days earlier - even thought the guy said he would follow up. Finally, about 55 minutes past 11am and 4 calls to their voicemail later, I got a call back clarifying that the time was a 'window for arrival' for my appt. I told her OK, but we had already started without them since I hadn't heard anything and would therefore use the guy's time at the house and not just storage. - the woman was not the least bit concerned about the communication breakdown and simple kept parroting their policy to me... When the guys finally showed up at 1pm, we had already completed a large chunk of the storage unit packing. (We spent that initial time packing everything tight since there was a second stop half-way cross-country to load more stuff.) The guys helped us load the bigger items still left in storage and then more items at the house, so at the end of the day, the job was done. With that being said... There was lots of collaboration and "best suggestion" communication happening before the movers showed up. The "I'm a professional, I know better than you" attitude was not well received from this end. All in all, we had to unpack/repack the entire portion they helped with when we got to the half-way point so the second set of movers could fit everything in the truck.
