This was a terrible experience. I hired 2 men from Hire A Helper to pack a POD. Everything in the POD was destroyed. And I mean everything. Do not use Hire A Helper. What a miserable experience.

To whom this may concern, My name is Shaun Washington I am the owner of US Pro Moving in Dunnwoody Georgia. I would first like to say that I am very happy with our partnership with Hired Helper. It has been beneficial to our company and has allowed me to grow and expand. I have successfully stayed in the top five for the last two years since joining hired Helper. Our company and employees strive to serve both clients with outstanding customer service and going beyond expectations. I look forward to our future together as we continue to both grow. The reason I am contacting you today is to talk about a past customer Melissa S. This email is in direct response to her bad reviews that she left us on March 29, 2019 (order #650962) and October 21, 2019 (order #798802). She also had a canceled order on October 30, 2019 ( order # 803682) The very first time we had the Pleasure of helping Mrs. Sims was March 29. The move went very well she had no complaints at all my guy said he was a bit eccentric but they didn’t have any problems. We again got an order on October 21 of this year. I sent two other employees of mine over there that were great guys whom have worked for my company well over a year. She took one look at them and decided that she didn’t want them to help her. I call Mrs. Sims and asked her what was the reason that she didn’t want the two gentlemen that I sent to Helper and she said that “she didn’t like the way they looked & she wanted the guys that helped her the last time.” Which is not an uncommon request if it is made in advance but that gentleman was not available on that day. She informed me that Hired Helper told her that she would absolutely have the same two gentlemen that provided her service the first time. I told her that I’m not accustomed to hearing that from Hired Helper and if that was the case this would have been the first time. I also told her I didn’t think that they can guarantee the same people but only the same company. She was very in emphatic that that is what Hired Helper promised her... nevertheless Hired Helper called her and worked it out. We did get the gentleman back over that helped her the first time but I wasn’t able to get the second guy that she’s saying was different. She stated to Diallo which is the gentleman that she wanted to come out there, That the other gentleman that he brought with him was not allowed to be in the house without Diallo present because she didn’t trust him . Diallo assured her that he was trustworthy but she said she didn’t care & she made him feel very uncomfortable throughout that whole move but we Persevered and got the job done. Customers stated she was happy. Then on October 30 she put in another request for us to come out and I called her trying to disolve any problems that might arise . I reminded her that Diallo might not be available and it also would make the job harder if the other gentleman that was helping Diallo wasn’t free to do his job. that it would also run her time up if he always had to wait for Diallo before he can move an item due to the fact that the last move was an issue. She continued to tell me that most of the guys that I sent out to her house were inappropriate. Those were her exact words. I asked her what made them inappropriate because I know that they were in uniform and dressed accordingly because I was at the office when they left on 21 October. She continued to be very vague in why they were inappropriate and asked me if all I had working for me were Mexicans and black guys. At that point in time I informed her that she should seek another company that employed people that she deemed appropriate. She at that point became very irate and hung the phone up on me. In the next couple of days after that conversation and cancellation she proceeded to put a claim on the company saying that we damaged her furniture in March. Of course Hired Helper sent me paperwork and I responded to it and I don’t really know what happened but I assumed that she lost her case because all of a sudden we got two very bad reviews for the two moves that we did do for her. Which is odd because if we were doing such a bad job why would she try to hire us two other times. I am hoping after you review this case and look in the system at all the notes and what your manager said I’m hoping that you could reinstate my status back to the top Tier of the company where it was and has been. What can a customer expect after booking with you?

A call from the owner discussing your move, And that conversation we will go over any pertinent information specific to your move any specialty items or antiques me you may have and also will give suggestions to make your move easier.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Our guys will call you on the way to your move . Once they get there they will tour the location go Over any instructions that u might have for them and formulate a pain to facilitate your move.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Just be prepared to tell us what you want to go on first if you have pods that are going different places please Figure out before hand what is going on and where, if there are items that need to come off the truck or pod first please put those items to the side or point them out and they will go on last so they can come off first.

What types of moves have you handled?

We handle all moves local, long distance and office moves whatever you have we can move it or figure out how we can do it.

We only hire experienced Movers so we take time to familiarize them with the way we do our paperwork and systems. We train you with 5 to 15 moves. Everyone we hire has a strong customer service background.
