ASAP Moving & Junk Haul assisted us in moving the weekend Hurricane Irene hit the NJ coast. They were amazing in their communication the week prior to our move and helped us to move up our scheduled day and time in order to complete the packing prior to the storm hitting our area. Great service and friendly movers! Unfortunately Eric was unable to help move but he was able to have a replacement there within a couple of hours. It went by quickly and they were all very nice and careful with the furniture. Good rates and if I move again, I will use them.

For starters they arrived late without calling to let me know they were running late. The truck was loaded up fast, I will definitely give them that, but upon arriving at my destination and having the tuck unloaded every singe piece of my furniture had been damaged. From minimal scratches that I am able to cover up to gouges in furniture that I am going to have to replace.

They arrived late (after requesting an early start) with a smaller truck than requested, which had junk from a previous job. As a result, they spent a great deal of effort trying to fit everything, which they were unable to do. They also had no moving blankets, although they are supposed to have several (he said they were stolen). Several of the larger items, a kayak, a wood and metal bench, and a ladder, were left behind. He offered to bring everything the next day at no charge, which I thought was great, but never showed up. He promised to bring everything the following day, but never showed up. Then he stopped responding. As we unpacked everything, we realized that there was a large gash in the dining room table (because of no moving blankets). The guys were very nice, and worked very hard, but the product was not good.

Very professional company. They packed, moved, and unloaded everything carefully. They even took their shoes off so as not to drag mud into my new apartment. I would definitely use this company again.

I was really impressed with the loading job ASAP Moving & Junk Haul did for me in late July. Due to a breakdown, the team did arrive a couple of hours late but kept in close phone contact with updates.
The two guys, both of whom were polite and clear-eyed, introduced themselves and took a quick inventory before getting down to work. They loaded quickly but carefully and really listened when I pointed out the special sentimental value of two pieces of furniture.
I had finished and done a good job of my own packing by the time they arrived (ie, furniture blanketed & shrink-wrapped, breakables well packed, boxes all taped closed, etc). They remarked that my preparedness helped them work faster and get better results - in other words, less possible damage to furniture and valuables during the cross-country move.
With that said, they did an AMAZING job packing the trailer! It was like a tremendous tetris puzzle, where every little piece fit perfectly. As a result, we used much less space than we reserved in the trailer and actually saved money on the move. When they opened the trailer on the other end (LA), the driver said he'd never seen such a well-packed trailer before. And when we unpacked, I found that there were virtually no casualties of the move - wow. I was totally floored. Thank you!

I could not possibly have been more pleased with ASAP. On a terribly hot and hideously humid day, they moved my 2 bedroom apartment with efficiency and courtesy. There were some unavoidable weather related delays (can't do a move during a thunderstorm), and Mr. Meekins kept me very well updated as to their progress while the delays were going on. I couldn't possibly ask for more.
When I initially made contact, I asked if my own estimate about the time (= cost) needed for the move was on target, and after I described what I had, he said that it was, and when it came to bill-paying time there were no surprises.
The rates are more than reasonable, the service reliable and efficient, and the movers extremely courteous and hard-working. I highly recommend these movers.

Told me 2 hours prior to our meeting time that their truck was in the shop and never showed. Scheduled this over 2 weeks in advance.

The movers were very courteous and cared about the safety of our things. They brought a bigger truck than contracted for, in case we had more things than we stated. They had trouble with the truck and were over 2 hours late, but kept me informed as to their status and estimated arrival time. For small jobs and disposals they are good, but i would NOT recommend them for a large job or items that are fragile. They did not have any dollys to move stuff on (carried everything by hand) and did not come with blankets to wrap items in. Nor did they tie down items inside the truck.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Relief & professionalism. They also can expect to get more items in their POD or Pack-rat / Rental Truck than they expected. They should expect to save a bunch of money on PODS and the Amount of PODS they need to move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A Early arrival & communication. A day %100 dedicated to getting their job done in a efficient time with no damages or mistakes.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure you have blankets! If you are renting a POD or Pack-Rat Be sure to tell them to throw 1-2 dozen blankets in the container before its delivered. Most of the time they don't even charge you. Also gather any washable blankets , sheets or towels we can use for protection... This way you don't have to break the bank on blankets. We also have started to use Boxes from Home depot. Lowes or Walmart. We can cut the boxes open and use them for TV crating, protection of Glass & Surfaces for stacking.

NYC jewelry store to LA, NYC home building associations , residential moves, Las Vegas Convention Center (Santee Cosmetics), Oz mannequins + Commercial Appliance Moves. I also moved Rosie O'donnel & Michelle Rounds & many other celebs.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
New scenery & meeting cool. interesting nice people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We watch you tube moving self help videos to stay fresh & consider new techniques to add to our skill sets. We also stretch daily & incorporate cardio into our lives to stay conditioned.
