Your experienced movers are mostly Actors, Singers, Musicians and Artists supplementing our income. On time, efficient, careful & courteous. Never a "stairs fee" or any hidden fees. We strive to provide 5 star service on every move. We are careful who we send into your home, around your family and to handle your property, we offer background checked helpers, checked through Hireahelper. INSURANCE through Hireahelper covers goods while being handled by our helpers up to $.60 per pound (policy must be activated by completing an inventory form). Full coverage insurance also available through Hireahelper. We'll never leave you stranded! If late we'll send extra helpers to make up time at no cost when possible. Previously had written a positive review, but had to revise after finding out more info. Hired crew of 3 for 3 hours to pack up apartment one day prior to move. The packing crew underpacked a lot of items so that the packaging opened as moving the next day. The crew kept talking about how quickly the job would be finished, prepackaging but ran out of time and were quick to alert me that they had reached their time limit, even though they had all arrived at different time periods. They all stopped working when the first guy to arrive hit the three hour mark (so I was undercut by about 45 min of prepaid work). On move day, I learned the packing crew had missed a lot of items, as I found items in drawers and cupboards, so I was left scrambling to pack on moving day. And overall also the movers spent a lot of time talking to each other and on their phones - which at the time I was willing to ignore, because I thought work was getting done and they kept assuring me they'd finish everything on time, but after finding out the lower quality of work, I have to call it out. Additionally, I specifically asked for boxes to be labeled and provided markers to all in the crew, but later found not a single box was marked, unless it was my handwriting. Finally, they told me midway through the paid time that they were running low on bubble wrap, so I ran out to buy more. When I returned with more bubble wrap they were all taking a break, which I didn't think twice of in the moment. But after finding all the extra bubble wrap and some of the original bubble wrap the next day during the move stuffed under a chair, I am thinking twice about the event. Either they misestimated the need for additional bubble wrap or this was a shirking tactic. Overall, was disappointed with quality of service and don't recommend based on value.
Packing for a move is NEVER quick they should never have said it would be fast. I indicated before the crew arrived that they would almost certainly be unable to pack everything in 3 hrs. They should label the boxes, they shouldn't be taking breaks on a 3 hour packing job, they can pack and talk to each other but not OK to be on the phone. Anybody on our crews that engages in time wasting is fired if there is real evidence of them doing so please let me know.
Our core sphere of expertise is in loading and unloading moving trucks & vans, most of us can pack for a move but the expectations are rarely met because it is time consuming and we don't usually get enough time to do a proper job. We should maybe just load/unload. Sorry again

These guys showed up on time and immediately got to work. Had a little bit of a walk to where the moving container was parked, a few flights of stairs and narrow hallways - they were quick, efficient and extremely nice! Will definitely use them again for my next move.

One mover was a few minutes late due to a subway delay but he called to let me know which was kind (and unnecessary because I was running more late than him). They worked diligently and managed to get almost everything into a truck which was fundamentally too small for the job. With my blessing, they cut a few corners at the end to save time and space.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Your move date is set! Contact for details and any necessary instructions
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always show up! On time arrival within the first 20 minutes of the one hour window, with an experienced, professional and courteous crew.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please have items packed and ready to go (large boxes not too heavy please), furniture blankets to protect your stuff, appropriate size truck for the move. Then wooosah! we got you, you're things are in capable hands.
What types of moves have you handled?
Local, Long distance, Office, Commercial, Specialty moves (larger & fragile medical equipment).
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
No gym membership needed, we get paid to exercise. Our worksite is different everyday & we interact with new people.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Two weeks of moving technique (lifting, turning, angles), teamwork, pacing, basic disassembly/reassembly and materials handling as well as customer service is our basic training. Then more experienced movers ( Courtney, Eric, Yusef, Azar, Ken) have advanced training for loading moving vans.
