The two young men from Minutemen were courteous and hard working. My dealings with Minutemen ahead of time were professional and thorough. I was not prepared however to have 18 year olds show up when paying a decent price for "movers". They lacked the experience I would have expected which then impacted my confidence. If you use this company be sure to inquire about the experience level of the movers they send to you.
Age is not an indicator of skill, experience, or professionalism. Those 2 young men have multiple years of moving experience already with other top rated moving companies and us. We always send a crew lead on every job, and that status is only earned when management believes they are ready. You stated they were thorough and had no issues when we spoke over the phone. As you can see by all our other reviews quality and professionalism is what we deliver.

Minutemen Haulers were great help. They stayed in touch before arrival. They were on time and prepared. It was a very warm humid day, but they worked steadily and loaded our 26 ft truck quickly and carefully. We would definitely use them again if we are ever in the area.

They were great! Jonathan contacted me in advance about the job, asking about what it entailed, requirements etc. On the day, they let me know in advance they were on the way, showed up on time and got into it straight away. Super efficiency and friendly too! Highly recommend Minutemen Haulers!

My problem began with MinuteMen Haulers as they stood around the truck talking and laughing. I had to call their main office to report that they pick up the pace since I was paying by the hour. Their office said they were strategizing on how to best arrange my goods in the truck. I found that ridiculous since they’re supposed to be professionals and ought to know how to best arrange basic household items in a truck that they’ve done many times before. When my goods reached its destination, another group of movers (Group 2) who offloaded the truck said it was the worst arrangement of any trucks MinuteMen Haulers they’ve ever seen. One in particulate said “it was a ****ty job”. Most of my wife’s priced dishes were broken, 4 mirrors were broken, my custom-made formal Italian dining set was badly damages, 2 TV sets (a 32 and 52”) were damaged, two leather sofas were ripped apart and a handful of other common household furniture items were scratched. Despite my spending about $200 on blankets, they didn’t wrap my goods well neither did they lay any blankets on the floor of the truck to prevent scratches. Perhaps my reporting them to their office to quicken the pace angered them, one thing is for certain, I will never MinuteMen Haulers. Perhaps they should start calling themselves HourMen Haulers.
We advised you before move day to purchase furniture blankets, which you did not. Upon our crew lead seeing this and telling you everything will get destroyed you went out and acquired only 20 blankets and complained about it costing so much when you still needed closer to 80. The amount of time reserved 4 men for 4 hours was sufficient to fully load 26' of a semi trailer, but not sufficient to wrap and blanket items as well. You should have booked 7 or 8 hours. The dishes were in a plastic garbage bag, and the TVs had no boxes, our lead, Shiv specifically warned him the couches were not going to survive if put in the ABF semi without blankets. If curious we can show pictures of the load. It met the owner and the manager's expectations for a good load considering the circumstances.

I was called and given the time to expect them. The first two were 15 minutes early and the second two were 5 minutes early. We discussed what would be the best way to accomplish the things I needed done. They worked steadily and got all accomplished within the three hours. They were polite and respectful of me and were quite careful handling boxes and furniture. Yes, I would definitely recommend and use them again.

The movers were ok, not bad in anyway, but not what we expected given the price. The price reflects professional movers and the 2 guys that were sent did not seem like professional movers. They did not have proper equipment with them to safely move large items in an efficient and safe manner. Given my experience with other moving companies and the price we payed for Minutemen to move us, we expected more focus and hustle. Not only did it take longer to load the truck than anticipated, but the 2 movers did not seem interested in getting our truck loaded in the designated time frame. We have had other movers move the same stuff in less time. They were on time (actually a few minutes early) which was appreciated and they were respectful of our property. I probably would not use them again.
Our movers come with all the moving straps and tools you were expecting they just weren't necessary to safely move your items. Our crew completed your job within the two hours you booked, and considering the national average for loading a truck your size is five hours; we'd say they hustled. We appreciate the generous tip to our crew, and hope we get a chance to change your mind in the future.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
A customer can expect a call from one of our booking agents to confirm the move and go over additional details.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
A customer can expect a call from the crew lead an hour prior from the arrival window to confirm the move. Once the crew arrives, they will do a walk thru to ensure the move is completed in an efficient manner and will stay until excused from the customer.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To ensure the move goes as smoothly as possible it is best to plan accordingly. Have furniture pads, stretch wrap and straps/rope ready for the movers to use if you are providing. Book elevators in advance so the movers don't have to wait.

We have handled, local, long distance and office moves in the past.

What training do you provide your crew members?
We undergo 2 weeks of training where we will put a trainee with an experienced crew lead before being trusted to work alongside another individual.
