As a seasoned mover accustomed to utilizing PODS for relocation, my recent experience was nothing short of a nightmare. What was expected to be a routine two-hour task spiraled into an excruciating ordeal lasting over five and a half hours. Initially, two men and a young helper were dispatched, but by the third hour, it dwindled into a one-man effort. To exacerbate matters, blame was unjustly shifted onto me for allegedly having an excess of belongings, despite previous successful experiences fitting all my items, including a dining room table, love seat, desk, file cabinet, and various other possessions, into the POD. I had to succumb to allowing them to throw away my beloved loveseat in the dumpster for the sake of allowing more of the important items to fit in! But with no success. The job was taking unusually long that at about the forth hour I proceeded to help the mover move my own things and urged my son to help in the process as well.

The incompetence reached its peak when my items were carelessly packed, resulting in breakages and a haphazard arrangement within the POD. Instead of accountability, the mover resorted to belligerence, vocally asserting that I received what I paid for and offering no apology amidst the escalating confrontation. The commotion reached such a level that it disturbed my neighbors at an ungodly hour, leaving me embarrassed and apprehensive about the stranger's presence in my home, especially given his aggressive demeanor.

In a feeble attempt to rectify the botched job, the mover proposed returning the following morning, demanding an extra $40 for additional assistance and another $100 for overtime incurred during the initial debacle. However, the prospect of enduring further humiliation and potential confrontation led me to decline the offer, opting to seek alternative solutions for the remaining furniture items. I’m left with having to figure out what to do with the item left behind to include a desk, file cabinet, patio chairs, dining room table, and various miscellaneous items that cannot fit in my car.

The most distressing aspect of this entire ordeal was being asked to give a 5 star review and instructed to select that the job was “completed” when it’s still not as of the time of this review. 2nd the impact it had on my child, who witnessed firsthand the disrespectful manner in which I was addressed by the mover. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed during this experience has left me not only disillusioned but also deeply unsettled. Despite a belated apology for the yelling, the damage had been done, and I have since chosen not to engage further.

In summary, this encounter with Good to Go professional Movers was marred by incompetence, aggression, and an utter disregard for customer satisfaction. It serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering their services, highlighting the importance of thorough research and vetting before entrusting one's belongings to a moving company.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

We know how frustrating moving is ! If you’d like to help your movers job easier please make sure all boxes are taped and sorted and that all fragile items are marked and carefully placed . Please provide or ask for all moving needs , blankets, straps, etc. we are also more than happy to help provide those items ms

We handle ALL move wether big or small , near or far . GOOD TO GO can accommodate any needs in a professional manner .
