The movers were significantly later than orginally hired for although they did call and notify that they woud be later. However, even then, they were delayed beyond their estimation. (Much of thrme unpacking had been done by the time they finally arrived!)
They did not want to take direction. One piece of furniture was bulky and oddly shaped and they didnt want to consider an alternate orientation to move it into the correct room. The way they disregarded suggestion was abrupt and unprofessional. The two movers were not the best representatives for this service in my opinion. Suggesting that I would be unable to use the app to pay them was a little inappropriate, as I am an older female...Seriously? I would suggest using another service .

They worked hard and were very professional. Larry, the owner/leader was excellent and a pleasure to work with. We had a few items that were very heavy and hard to move to the room we wanted them to go to due to their dimensions, but Larry was willing to try several times until he got the job done.
The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was that they arrived over 2 hours late. To be fair, when I called Larry before 9.00 am (we had booked them to arrive between 9:00am and 10:00am) he told me that he was having a hard time finding his co-worker and he would be late, and he then called later with an update, but ultimately they arrived at 12:30pm. They worked the number of hours I booked with only 1 break which took them well into the evening, and their work was of a high quality. They compared very favorably with Leaders who I had used only 6 months before.
I'd use them again without hesitation.

These guys were awesome. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. They were fast and efficient unloading my UHaul in less time than I projected. All of the men were friendly and easy to work with. They went above their duties by helping me sort out some of my items. I would recommend Universal Movers to anyone needing assistance and I hope others also tip them well. This is hard work and these guys never complained.

Universal Movers did a great job! We used them to load up a 16 ft storage/shipping container. Harold and Larry were courteous and friendly. They explained how they would load the container to maximize space. They were careful with all our belongings. The were really fast and actually finished sooner than I expected. I would definitely use them again and plan to hire them for next weekend!
