The guys were extremely nice but we unfortunately had some issues along the way. They arrived 2.5 hours later than I expected based on the originally agreed upon time. There was also some damage done to both houses during the process of moving. Stairs chipped, walls marked and holes, brand new hardwood floors scratched and a screen door handle broken off.

The move had a very rocky start but the movers finished strong and were very courteous.

I have used Hire a helper 3 times in recent months so decided to use them to help with our daughters move into a 3rd floor apartment.
This group was 3 hours and 40 minutes late. They did not contact me to let me know they would be late, I had to call them each hour to find out when they would arrive and then when that time passed I would call again. They kept doing additional things for the customer before us that kept pushing our time back.
I will say the when they did finally arrive they did a very good job and did it quickly. I would not recommend them because of the major lack of communication.
We did tip them for the job they did, but requested a discount from the company for the major time loss.

Very unprofessional and unreliable.
Didn’t show up....was told I was lucky they got someone on July 5 the day after the holiday after they committed to this date and time over two weeks ago, and even sent a follow up text to me confirming at 10.30 the night before on the Holiday!
Was told I was hysterical and not understanding. All I wanted was an apology for a service failure, and they couldn’t provide one. I never once raised my voice or used any type of offensive language, but yet I got hung up on and then told through text my voice sent red flags.
All that happened was is that they refused to take ownership for their service failure, and tried to make excuses even turning it around as if it were my fault.
Please save yourself the hassle and aggravation on moving day by NOT using this company.

Called for two men, 5 came in (little overwhelming)
30 mins late
One guy smells weed and they misplace half of the stuff although i gave clear instruction as they were unloading
