I moved from Corpus Christi to Austin, TX and needed help unloading as I was moving into an apartment on the second floor and I have (what seems like) a ton of furniture. I have never used a mover before and I was nervous about having my items damaged because of someone not caring.
Well, I found Ogre Man Movers on Hire a Helper; I loved the price point and hired them to help with the unloading of my trailers. The owner, David, is the one that contacted me. He's extremely friendly and great with communicating. He and his helper worked very efficiently and with care. Most of my boxes were labelled by room but if they weren't sure where something went they asked to ensure it went to the right place. I greatly appreciated the attention that they paid to making sure my furniture wasn't damaged. They took a lot of moving stress off of me and were done way earlier than I thought they would be!
I would most definitely recommend them and I plan to use them with any future moves.

This was a fairly simple job as we just needed help swapping furniture from between an upstairs and downstairs bedrooms.
Great experience overall; guys did arrive a bit later than planned but immediately reviewed the work and began. They were very quick and hard working and very courteous to my entire family. I would definitely use them again.

Guys were running a little late due to an earlier appt. They called to let me know before the appt time. Gave me a solid estimate for when they would be on site and were ahead of thar time.. They were only behind schedule less than an hour. Movers were experienced, quick, helpful, careful and considerate. They handled my belongings with care, and I appreciate that. Good job team! What can a customer expect after booking with you?
We provide a follow up call after booking, we go over the job details with you, answer any questions you may have in preparation for your move and offer any additional advice on packing items and what's needed for a safe and speedy move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We provide a phone call when en route to your move and as soon as we get to your location we do a walk thru to see what's being moved. We then start to wrap and protect items if we are loading, and get them into your truck or Storage container as safely and timely as possible. If its an unload, we do a walk thru to see the lay out of your home and ask where you want your belongings and then unload and unwrap your items safely and speedy. In both cases feel free to ask us to re arrange any of your items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To be best prepared to save time and money, everything should be packed and wrapped and ready for your move. However, we understand moving is quite overwhelming and can be a lot to deal with, in which case, were happy to come in and pack your entire household up, bring supplies such as boxes, tape, blankets, everything needed for a successful move. Then just sit back, put your feet up and let us take care of everything from start to finish.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have been in this industry for over 15 years and have seen and done it all. We do everything from nationwide cross country moves, to office moves, residential home moves, white glove services for art and sculptures, to grand and upright pianos, vehicle and motorcycle deliveries, as well as animal delivery and everything single thing in between. There is not a single thing we haven't encountered and are prepared for everything we come across.

What training do you provide your crew members?
What makes us special is that we only hire experienced movers with a minimum of 5 years moving experience, the average is 7 to 10 years. What that means, is that very little training if any is needed, but provided when necessary to meet our standards for quality. Experience and knowledge is shared between movers on every job so our team continues to get stronger and more knowledgeable with every job.
