The movers that were sent to me were from Detroit, MI, which is a 2 hour drive from where I am. I was unaware that my movers were not local. They did a good job and I am happy with how they loaded my POD. However, I did find it to be unprofessional that they spent so much time using my bathroom. They were here two hours total and they were in my bathroom 4 times. I'm not sure what that was all about.

The HireAHelper was outstanding. Came in with tools in hand for whatever had to be dismantled ready to start the job. Went from room to room to see what had to be pack before loading. Wrap each piece with care I was very impress with their work and personality. Would recommend their services to all of my friends.

The two movers were courteous and friendly. They were on time and worked hard. I tipped them each $20, and feel they kept moving for the two hours. They seemed respectful and were prepared for the job.
As it became obvious we were low on furniture pads, they asked if I had any bubble wrap. I offered to have someone bring more padding. They said not necessary and they will use the shrink wrap. At the end they were cramming things in and being less aware of items well being, and further, needed the extra pads that I offered up. The customer is stressed and looking to the movers expertise to protect belongings.
I opened the pod back up after they had left, to look at the goods with my boyfriend. My one bicycle's seat was positioned in the corner where the POD door latch tracks, and the seat had ripped upon opening the pod. It is a $500 bike, and the seat being removed would have prevented that. I noticed lots of metal on metal around the bikes as they weren't padded with cardboard or any separation. Impressive all they could into the pod, however at what expense? While I had it open, I slid what I could of cardboard in between things that looked questionable, but there was no way I was unpacking any of it.
I unloaded my pod this week. I have had movers before who are outstanding. These two were okay. I'm confident with experience they will learn the nuances to raise their bar. I have a couple of boxes labeled this end up, contains oil that will leak (kitchenAide mixer), and a printer that contains ink (this end up labeled also), which were completely ignored. I found both on end in the POD upon unpacking. The printer inside a cabinet, the labeling clearly visible, and the box not side up, and the mixer packed in nice and tight, again wrong end up. Mixer oil leaked out which now I cannot use without getting serviced. Expensive 7 cartridges of ink in printer are toast.
Good thing to tell the two movers also; one told me not to worry about everything being so tightly packed to the front near the door. He said it will all shift back when shipping. Things shifted alright. Several boxes in the rear of the pod were laying cockeyed and jammed from shifts. My POD door was jammed with an item and I spent a good 30-45 minutes reaching up in there with long handles to dislodge. Appears to me it all shifted front, to the door. New scratches to some furniture, one particular along the entire side.
At this time, I would not use them again. A customer trusts the movers' experience. These two are on their way to being really good, just a few tweaks.
