They were very easy to work with and made sure everything got done the way we wanted to. They worked hard and were on time. I didn't book enough time/movers so it ended up going over the estimate, but paying the difference wasn't an issue.

Didn’t show on scheduled day. One of the movers used the bathroom at the apartment I was moving out of and left the hot water in the sink running and due to the move, I didn’t realize until 24 hours later. Movers weren’t quick and it seemed like they wanted to prolong the move to make more money. Wouldn’t use this company again.

Few things were not done to a standard I felt was appropriate and a bit confusing on how payment was charged going over time.

Zero complaints about this Ultimate Movers. They were prompt and did a good job. However, HireAHelper told me that I must hire 3 people for a minimum of 3 hours for this job, and both Moses and the team of movers told me that I only needed 2 movers for 2 hours for this job. Ultimate Movers gets a good score, but HireAHelper gets a big, fat, red F.
Call the company directly and avoid HireAHelper.

This would be a great company to work with if you can be very flexible on your timeline.
TL;dr: I talked to them multiple times and did everything I could to confirm beforehand, and they still double booked themselves and disregarded our agreed upon time.
Also, they aren’t willing to take anything ‘small’, including disassembled furniture pieces or a glass tabletop, and they aren’t willing to help pack or unpack anything. You need to put everything into boxes to assure it will get moved if you want to use this company.

I booked them less than a week out, for 2 men and a truck for 4 hours. HireAHelper said they had this time available. About 10 minutes after I placed my order, I got a call from the point of contact Moses and here’s how that conversation went:
‘hey so we got your request, but do you HAVE to move this weekend?’
Me: ‘yes, I could do either Friday or Saturday, but I have to be out of my unit by Sunday night, so it has to be this weekend. Can you guys do that?’
‘Uhhh… there might be a timing issue. Let me look into it and give you a call back in 10 minutes.’
‘Yeah of course! No problem and thank you!’
Then he never failed me back. The next morning I get an automated email from hire a helper saying ‘congratulations! Your offer has been accepted and confirmed!’ And it had the time slot I asked for: noon to 4 pm on Friday. And im thinking, that might be bad. I should check in. So I call him back to ask.
This call, at like 2pm, he sounds annoyed that im calling him.
‘Hey! This is Bunnie again. I wanted to check in about the move this weekend. Is that gonna work for you?’
‘What? Yeah! Didn’t you see the email? I confirmed it!’
‘Oh! Yes. I did. But you said there might be a timing issue so I wanted to check in. Is noon to 4 gonna be okay?’
‘Yeah. I sent you the email. I confirmed it.’
‘Well, yeah, but you told me there might be an issue and said you’d call me back in 10 minutes and then never called me back. I wanted to make sure.’
‘Oh yeah yeah. No problems. It’s fine.’
‘Oh! Ok perfect! So in that case, did you need any more information from me about the move?’
‘No no no we got it.’
‘Oh! Ok. Well? Uh great! I’ll see you Friday at noon!’
Then comes Friday: 9:45am I get a call from a different number, clearly one of the two movers, two different people: ‘hey! Good morning. We’re on our way. We’ll be there in 20 minutes.’
‘What?? Are you sure you’re calling the right job? I don’t have you guys booked til noon!’
Some back and forth, we confirm it is me he was looking for, and that he was expecting to start at 10. I tell him I can’t start earlier; I’m picking up my keys and signing paperwork at 10. I only gave myself enough drive time to make sure I’d be back to the old place by noon. He’s asking ‘are you sure you can’t start earlier? Wr have another job at 3!’
So I told him I’d hurry and do my best, and call him to give him an eta. But we were only able to get them started at 11:40. He says ‘ok, thanks, my boss does stuff like this a lot’.
Then after all that, the job ended up taking 5 hours, and traffic was super bad, extending the drive time from 15 min to 45. I felt awful for keeping them even later unloading the truck at the new place, but there was nothing we could really do.
They also let us know after arrival that they aren’t allowed to help pack or unpack, and they won’t take any ‘small items’ on the truck for fear of damage. But ‘small items’ included bundles of disassembled furniture parts and a glass tabletop. So I had to make additional arrangements to get those moved later. Worth note if you’re wanting the movers to get EVERYTHING, because in my case they wouldn’t. You’ll have to put everything into boxes, including furniture parts, if you want them moved.
The two movers who actually did all the work did a great job, nothing was damaged and they were incredibly hard working and efficient.
There was also a mistake where they forgot to give back my keys, but they were very accommodating in bringing them back for me within 48 hours, and I know it was an honest mistake. Luckily I had 2 sets so that wasn’t a huge problem.

Moses did a great job with communication before and during the move including calling the day before to take an inventory and to confirm arrival time. His crew was 2 hrs late to the job (Moses did call them and had them contact me to update me on the delay) but once they were here they were polite, efficient and hard working. I will definitely be calling on Moses and his crew the next time I have a move. His communication and flexibility are much better than most moving companies. Definitely recommend him!
