The Movers arrived an hour late, but to be fair they had to drive about 2 hours upstate from the Bronx. The workers were extremely fast and showed a lot of care with moving the very large load of over 25 metal filing cabinets loaded with files. They were very friendly and very nice to do business with, not to mention they finished the job so quickly! Use these guys and don't forget to tip!

Besides the fact that the workers came two hrs late, they moved my things in a half an hr and unloaded in about 30-45 mins. They didn't need any equipment, and did everything by hand. I have no other complaints besides the tardiness. They were respectful of my goods, and I may use them again, but will request less hours.

Five Star Excellence is the only appropriate or adequate way to describe the service and performance of Affordable Movers. From the first contact to the last, their attitude, promptness, work ethic, diligence, friendliness, respectfulness, and courtesy, could not be improved upon or surpassed.
We booked the job with Bernard, who scheduled and coordinated the three workers necessary to accomplish it--without a hitch, despite our having to later reschedule the job at the last minute, and further adjust the time frame under which the packing and loading of the truck would take place.
The three workers, Nayquhon, Benjamin, and Jordan, arrived together and on time, only to find that the job was an extremely large and difficult one, and more than they had anticipated given both the unusual weight of some of the antique furniture, and the unusual number of heavy book boxes, all of which had to be carried down a second story staircase. Yet none of the three men evidenced any frustration or uttered a single word of complaint about the additional effort needed to be expended to accomplish the packing and loading of the 26 ft. truck, which by jobs end, was completely full.
Even when they found upon their arrival that we were not completely ready for them, and that we still had much packing of boxes needed to be done in one particular room, they worked around that issue—and the obvious delay it had caused, without expressing any irritation that not all of the rooms were ready to go when they arrived.
In the end, the complexity and size of the job resulted in its taking an additional two and a half hours to complete than the four hours initially scheduled, not through any fault or lack of effort of Nayquhon, Benjamin, and Jordan, who continued to work late into the evening under the uncomfortable and poor conditions of extreme cold and winter high winds. And again without any complaint from any of the three that we had underestimated the amount of hours necessary to load the truck when booking their professional services through Hire A Helper, or that the additional time had cut into or interfered with their own personal plans for a Friday evening.
Moving is both a difficult and stressful experience, and can be an emotional one as well, whether the move is merely across town, or hundreds or even thousands of miles away. We are tremendously grateful that Bernard, Nayquhon, Benjamin, and Jordan were at all times cognizant of that fact, and did everything in their power to make the event not only easier, but in some ways actually pleasant, as a direct result of their professionalism, flexibility, attitudes, and performance, and despite the numerous obstacles encountered along the way, and the length of time and additional physical effort needed to overcome them.
Thank you Nayquhon, Benjamin, and Jordan, for your terrific job! And thank you Bernard for sending us what we can only believe was the best team possible! Our relocation was in every way a success because of your company's outstanding service!

The guys who did the loading were great. But their coordinator/boss, Bernard, was absolutely horrible. Never once answered my calls. Didn't inform me that movers would be 2.5 hours late. Didn't give any explanation, or updates on their status.
