The crew communicated with me the night before, and in the AM.They arrived, neat and clean..right on time. The 3 men were respectful both of me and my property and although I tried, I still had lots of oddball things that didn't stack in a conventional way but they didn't let it sour the day !
3 guys showed up instead of two..good thing because I'd reserved 3 hours..it still ran significantly overtime, I feel it was due to the nuances of this job.
The lead guy..whose name I am spelling phonetically was Nayquan and he packed intelligently, efficiently and compactly in the ABF Trailer I 'd rented. He squeezed my things into 16 feet ..I'd reserved 17.. this helped me pay for the extra time on the job.. It seems I had misjudged the time when booking. It was all ok for me, but although this made them run late for their next job.. they were good natured. At conclusion, I called in the job, the automated phone released their funds and told me the total . I will say I was so impressed with how this all transpired from the day I found HireAHelper that I promptly got online and booked another firm for my unloading Dec 30 in Fla.

This is my second experience with Affordable Moving and they were excellent both times. I would definitely recommend them.

The crew showed up on time and worked very hard, but they were obviously poorly trained and or just didn't care about being careful with our stuff. The initial phone call to confirm the service was delayed by zero follow-up to my voice mails or the voice mail box was full and was unable to leave a message. The service was made well aware of our need to move a laundry washer and drier, the crew showed up without moving straps for heavy appliances, because of this they had no good way of handling the heavy items. As a result they severely scratched and dented my washer and drier, and scuffed the new hardwood floors we had just installed. I had hired a crew of 4 for 6 hours, and 5 showed up, but they only wanted to work for 4 hours and they pressured us with story's of relatives coming to town to get together for the sisters death which happened two years prior...etc! I paid them, I tipped them and I bought them pizza...I did get my stuff moved, but it was at a cost. You expect things to not go 100% as planned, but I didn't expect them to flip the washer upside down and drag it on the pavement, or for 4 young men to struggle to handle a washer that was too big and was too heavy to be moved by hands alone!
