Edited based on the reply to my original review (below). Here's some unsolicited advice to Allstar Movers: When a customer has a valid critique, it would be best to respond accordingly rather than offer excuses and arguments. Yes, I am aware cannabis is legal in Illinois. That doesn't mean most employers allow you to work while impaired - just as they wouldn't allow you to drink alcohol on the job. This wasn't a matter of me "liking" one helper over the other. It doesn't take a genius to observe when one person is pulling their fair share. If you took customer satisfaction seriously at all, you wouldn't have responded in the manner you did. I'll let any potential future customers decide if you are the company they'd like to hire.

Overall, OK. I generally don't have high expectations from movers and these two gentlemen didn't disappoint. While they arrived on time and were cordial, one of them appeared as if he was still reeling from the previous evening's "activities". As a result, he was moving at a much slower pace than the other. The smell of marijuana was evident. I'm no cop and I've been known to partake myself but, c'mon, you have a job to do. There's a time and place. We mainly needed their assistance for moving some bulky, heavier items that my wife and I couldn't handle ourselves (sofa, bed, dresser, etc.). They wrestled the items out to the truck while I loaded. While nothing (so far) appears damaged, I wouldn't exactly say they were particularly careful with anything. I felt bad for the one guy who had to pick up the slack for the other.

A few dents and scratches on furniture that was moved and spaces through which the furniture was carried.
Very agreeable fellows; took two smoke breaks; paid for 3 hours, probably got closer to two and a half hours of work.
