I had a two man crew to move me out of my apt and into PODS facility in Queens. They were quick and professional. Craig was a Tetris master fitting everything into the 7’ pod, which when I first saw I didn’t think it would fit, but it did. But he assured me it was the perfect size and he would make it work.
Only negative thing is I found out how much more I was being charged via hire a helper. I know someone who used Qs moving and paid half the price. I’d use Qs again but not book through hire a helper. Not really clear on what Hire a helper does to warrant such an increase.

Ozzie and his crew were amazing. They were friendly, helpful and managed to move my entire apartment in under 2 hours.

No COVID precautions. NO MASKS by movers. I trusted Hire A Helper because the website indicated sensitivity to the difficulties of moving during a pandemic. These 3 guys show up from the NYC metro area (for a move in Nassau County, Long Island--a COVID hot spot), not wearing masks. I asked them THREE TIMES to please use their masks; explained to them that I care for two 90 year olds. These guys just shrugged it off and DID NOT USE their masks the entire move--in my tiny NY apartment for two hours with me, so now I am quarantined for two weeks before returning to caregiving. NEVER will use any of these services again. If you're moving during the pandemic, pay the extra money and hire a REAL professional mover. The whole PODS "COVID/contactless" experience was nullified by these guys parading through my apartment without face coverings. If I get sick within these two weeks, I know how it happened; so Hire A Helper and Q's Moving can expect a call from my attorney. This was the most disrespectful moving experience I have ever had. INEXCUSABLE.

They were early to arrive, very organized/goal-oriented, and we're clearly experienced. Nothing broken, no issues. Got everything done efficiently, worked with my super to coordinate best use of elevator, and packed the truck very well. I had a cross-country trip from NYC to Chicago, and nothing shifted or moved during the trip. They also came prepared with two carts to move boxes on. Smiling with good attitudes. Great guys and very helpful. Would absolutely hire them again and again.
