Our moving crew was really good, on time, professional and did a great job as we had a lot of heavy furniture and boxes to move down a couple flights of stairs into a POD. Generally speaking if using a POD be mentally ready that you may have to re-maneuver the POD after loading unless you’re lucky enough to get that crew invested in putting a puzzle together. The movers left a lot of open spaces, so we unloaded and repacked the POD and we’re able to get another 40% more items into the POD. Ultimately, we were grateful for their help with the big, major items and we would use them again!

I paid for 4 movers for three hours. One of the guys showed up an hour late when most of the house was loaded onto the truck which caused the load time to take an extra hour. The movers seemed to want to do the bare minimum. I still had to make several trips to move stuff in my car afterwards since some odds and ends were left out. A good service provider would have been thorough or god forbid, go above and beyond for the client. They were laughing saying they would be done early in time for beers in the afternoon. They then took an hour and a half to get to the new location (20 minutes away normally) since they decided to stop for lunch without telling me. Everything was moved in where it was market to go. However they folded my spring mattress in half to move it and when we opened it up there was a giant lump in the middle where I guess the springs moved to. Damaged beyond use, so we slept on a thin mattress topper on the floor until we could get a new bed. I reported the damages to Hire a Helper but I still haven't received an email to file a claim for the damages which Im sure will be a long and unfruitful process. Additionally there was a chipped end table since the movers generally moved things with little care. What bothered me most was that one of the movers (the guy who showed up an hour late) asked for a $200 tip per man to which I simply laughed. Finally, one of the guys stunk up our new bathroom right away and they left their drinks and garbage around the new house. Definitely don't use Q's Moving Corp and look for other options if you'r considering Hire a Helper.
