My two Movers did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them. Although they were about 2 1/2 hours late, it was due to traffic constraints as they were traveling from LA to Long Beach. The company representative promptly called me and explained the situation and kept me informed as the day progressed, Which I think is great customer service. They arrived at 2:45 PM and had my 16 foot pod emptied in just under two hours. This team was so efficient and professional and respectful.

If you value your time, do not touch this company.

This review is about Rigo's, the moving company, and not the movers. The movers were hardworking and did a good job overall. We booked a 20' truck and they confirmed. We called the day before to confirm truck size again and explained that a larger truck would not work with our hillside driveway. They confirmed. When the movers arrived, they came with a 26' truck and said the company doesn't even have a 20' truck in service.

Because the truck needed to be parked at the bottom of the driveway, the move took at least an hour longer to load (at $250 per hour) because the movers had to walk up and down a 200-ft hillside driveway. What's worse, the company tried to charge us for an additional hour of time on top of this extra loading time, claiming the job started a half-hour earlier and finished a half hour later than it did. This led to a dispute that involved HireAHelper because Rigo's was unreasonable and over-billing.

Because the movers had to do all the extra walking, we provided plenty of water and snacks. We even paid for the extra hour of loading time. Rigo's should not have booked a job they had no equipment to fill. And they could have cancelled the day before when we called to confirm truck size. They chose not to. Good movers, bad company.

We want to clarify that we attempted to contact you the day before your move to inform you about a change in truck size due to an issue with our 20-foot truck. After more than 20 unanswered calls, we had to make a decision, which was to either send a 26-foot truck where everything was sure to fit in one trip or send our 17-foot truck, which could have caused our movers to take two trips. We decided our 26ft truck was the best option to avoid traffic more than once. Our experienced drivers, Javier and Anthony, who have been with Rigo's for over five years, confirmed that a 20-foot truck would not have been able to navigate your driveway due to its slant and curve.Regarding the timing of your move, our records show that the service began at 9:30 AM and concluded at 2:30 PM, totaling five hours. This information is supported by tracking device data and photos provided by our movers, which confirm the times added to your contract. Our movers worked hard and managed to complete your move which included two flights of stairs, 3x bedroom, in only 5 hours. These kinds of moves typically average eight hours. Even after our movers went above and beyond, unfortunately you still disputed the additional time. We appreciate your kind gestures for our movers. Our company strives to ensure our team is well-trained and dedicated to providing exceptional service to all our clients.

Rigos was hired to load an 8 ft Pod. The workers came an hour late, and I had to call their company to find out if they were coming. 2 workers were hired for a 2 hour job. We pre-loaded a glass reptile cage because of delicate nature. The cage wad properly wrapped and secured and wr asked that it not be moved. Workers were nice but did not follow our directions to not unstrap the cage, and to not load heavy items on top. With reminders they followed our directions. They were not careful in moving boxes and a dresser. It appeared they were in a rush but no need for the hurried behavior. They finished the job in 2 hours with an hour to spare. There was a dent in the wall due to the dresser. They didn't notice. They bumped a bike on the side in front of us with no apologies. Their packing was fine, but they didn't show care for our possessions in their work. Being late ,casual in their work habits and not following our one request when loading is not a display of professionalism. Their reviews were 4 stars. I don't if this case is reflective of their usual work. I would not hire them again

On the day of your move, one of our representatives contacted you to inform you that the movers were delayed from their previous job. You confirmed that a later start was acceptable, and the movers arrived only half an hour late, not an hour. We spoke with our moving crew regarding the reptile cage. They mentioned that they moved the cage from its original spot because it was not a safe location for transport, as PODs experience significant movement during transit. They also mentioned that they mentioned this to you and you were aware. Regarding the damage you mentioned, we discussed this in a previous email. We were aware that another moving crew had been at your home the day before our movers. However, we still offered to send someone to your home to repair the damage, but you kindly declined the offer. We apologize if our movers seemed to be in a hurry. They were simply trying to complete the job efficiently. We appreciate bringing this to our attention, we will strive to work better for our future clients.

The movers arrived right on time and were both respectful and professional throughout the entire process. They clearly knew what they were doing. After taking a look at everything we had, they advised us to go with a larger POD, and they were right. While their service was on the pricier side, the peace of mind and expert help made it well worth it. Highly recommend!

The movers were outstanding. Efficient, quick, nice, and didn't damage anything. Hired Rigos to unload my POD container.

The management is just ok. They book by hour long arrival window. I called at the end of the window when no one was there, and I hadn't heard anything. I was initially told everyone was busy and they didn't have an ETA. After repeated calls and requests a team arrived an hour and a half later. It really seems like the management overbooks the teams and just plans on apologizing and delaying. If you're ok with being pretty flexible with the time then they are great.

They were on time and fast. They worked hard and packed my trailer tightly saving me so much space and money. I recommend 3 movers, the extra person was key in keeping things moving during disassembling and demounting furniture and TV. I would book them again for a future move.

We are a professional moving company where our clients always come first. Our customers can expect an amazing job outcome by our movers because we are trained and have the proper materials needed for the job.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Our customers can expect a well prepared crew with all the materials needed for their move. They can also expect to be stress free during their move because of how reliable our movers are.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Customers should prepare for the day of the move depending on what services they get/want. We reccomend that clients remove clothing from drawers, wardrobes, etc, to make the items less heavy for our movers. Always label your boxes. We also recommend to speak with our project manager about materials needed for the job to have them ready for the day of the move. Lastly, feel free to ask questions with our project manager about any concerns to be informed on what to do the day of the move.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

Our favorite part of being a mover is seeing the relief on our clients face after getting the job done. We love being able to make our clients move stress free as much as possible.

What training do you provide your crew members?

We provide all of our employees with a one month training program at our head quarters to help them gain experience by teaching them good communication skills, how to pack fragile items into boxes, move heavy items using the proper equipment, stack the trucks or containers using every inch of space, etc.

We provide basic Heavy Duty Tools, (always included, no fee)
Hand truck:
We provide a Heavy Duty Hand Truck, (always included, no fee)
Plastic wrap:
We provide plastic wrap for 2-3 furniture items, any additional plastic wrap used will be a $35.21 dollar charge., ($25.00/ea.)
Rope:
We always provide straps to load/unload (we will need them back or a fee will be applied), If is Load only we recommend you to ask about our packing materials prices., ($5.00/ea.)
