The Guys who did the actual move were great. They worked hard and got it done in a minimal amount of time. Lots of the boxes aren't in the room they were labeled as, so I'll have to carry them upstairs--- not a huge problem.
The biggest problem I had was the disparity in price from Hire-A-Helper. The cost was almost DOUBLE to unload it as it was for loading! Loading is much trickier, trying to stack everything to make sure it fits & is carefully wrapped! for protection. Leaving Texas it cost $518.00 and was completed by TWO guys. They had to drive an hour to get to my rural location. The company called Smart Move out of Asheville insisted I needed THREE workers and charged nearly a thousand $$
I called the moving company before they arrived & questioned the need for 3 employees, explaining just 2 were needed to load the containers. I was given the run-around. I was basically held hostage---- with no one else to unload my containers in a new city I was at the mercy of the dispatcher. If I ever use Hire-A-Helper again, I will investigate the movers on both ends

They were delayed due to another job going over, but once they arrived they were quick, efficient, friendly, and respectful. It started raining towards the end of the job and they managed to get everything in quickly and safely. I'd recommend them.

My favorite part about being a mover is meeting new people everyday. Some of these relationships have lasted over 15 years!
