They were late from an earlier job in another city that wasnt their fault, but they communicated well in advance. They were respectful, humorous, cut up with me while working hard as hell. Very upbeat. Very fantastic. Had their own gear and tools to make everything easier.
Easy five stars. Easy recommend. And I will definitely be using them again.

First off let me start by saying I have hired moving companies in the past. This company was not my 1st choice but the original company had to cancel. I had to call and confirm the ETA of the movers which in past experiences that was always communicated to me. When the two movers arrived they did come with a dolly (so that was a plus) but was moving in slow motion, which costed me more money. I hired 2 movers for two hours, for a 3 bedroom home they took 6 hours to load and unload. I would never ever ever hire this company again unless I get the gentleman that was in the good reviews, because the ones that come was slow and lazy. I still had to figure out how to get the rest of my furniture and boxes in storage. My advice to anyone who hires them make sure you ask for an experienced mover because the ones that arrived one was experienced and the other was his 1st day, which made a 2 man job 1 man, triple time and money. SMF IF YOU HAVE A NEW EMPLOYEE YOU SHOULD NOT SENT THEM WHEN A PERSON REQUESTS 2 MOVERS THATS NOT FAIR TO THE OTHER MOVER OR THE CUSTOMER THAT NOW HAS TO PAY MORE MONEY.

Initially I tried a different company the was scheduled to come the previous day, that company was also highly rated on Hire-a-helper. I was initially told that they were running late on an earlier job. I told them that is was no problem as I was packing throughout the day. Once evening arrived I reached out to see if they were planning to still come, or reschedule to a different date. At this point all communication ceased, not sure why as I understood the situation and made zero demands.
I started looking for a replacement since I still needed someone to help. SMF Moving and Staging was another high rated option. I was a bit concerned since I was requesting a same day service. I submitted the request and received outreach from SMF just moments later confirming that they had some time available. I confirmed. George and D'Won were on a different job that was more work then expected, so they reached out to let me know that they were running behind and would be on their way shortly.
They arrived a short time later, introduced themselves and went to it. I gave a quick walk-through to cover what was being moved and to where. After this point they needed nothing from me other then some input to which methods and paths would be the most efficient and painless for each furniture type. Was all in good fun, and kept everyone laughing throughout the move. Two good guys working hard and making the most of the situation, Late job, hot and humid, and some of the most awkward furniture that they have probably had to deal with...not a single complaint, just pushing hard to get through it.
I will certainly go back to SMF for future work, and will definitely request these two.

We loved George and Sabario! They were punctual, respectful, and super chill dudes. What would have taken us all day they knocked out in two hours. They wrapped all of the furniture with care and played a very impressive game of Tetris inside our horse trailer. We were very impressed and 100% would use them again to move. My mom felt safe with them around and having them be present throughout the morning was important to us. So thank you so very much!!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should try to have all boxes properly sealed, dresser drawers emptied if possible. have boxes staged in one location, also to have all needed materials such as moving blankets , shrink wrap and tape.
What types of moves have you handled?
My company has handled various residential moves, long distance ,storage units ,ABF trailers, loading and unloading of PODS ,and office relocation.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is helping people eliminate the anxiety that's comes on moving day.
What training do you provide your crew members?
My crew has been trained in proper lifting techniques and well as furniture preparation,packing and customer service. .
